A short tutorial on private servers-
If you do not have a download of WoW, download the trial, all you want is the launcher anyway, you can download a copy from here:
Im not sure, but im guessing thats a client launcher, I\\’m sure you can google \\"WoW free download\\" for it anyway.
Now that you have it installed, go into the World of Warcraft folder located wherever you unzipped it.
It should contain the file realmlist.wtf (Funny file type :D)
Open this in notepad so its available to edit like so:
(Right click)

Now that its open you should see the message:
\\"set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com\\"
This will differ if you are playing the US or any other distribution of WoW.
We will edit this with the server IP we fancy (find):
Go to http://www.wowstatus.net/serverlist.php And browse through the servers.
Explanation of the servers:
\\"Blizzlike\\"- Similar if not identical to blizzard servers, same experience rate, same level cap + skills, mostly everything is similar to the real game.
\\"High\\"- You should level alot faster possibly 10X the rate or more
\\"Low\\"- Can mean a slower levelling speed but still often higher than blizzard\\’s
\\"Fun\\"- Insane experience rates, Custom items, custom Skills etc. They even have flying mounts, its just for a fuck about really.
Now that is done with, Pick the server that best suits you. Finding a server with a good uptime and speculations helps.
Click on the Server\\’s name and you should come to a screen similar to this:

The red box is the server address, you will replace the address in realmlist.wtf with this. For example instead of:
\\"set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com \\"
It would then be
\\"set realmlist 216.43.236.164 \\" in this case.
Save the file as realmlist.wtf for it to work.
WARNING: If you play ordinary WoW It is recommended to keep a backup file of your original realmlist, for easy use I changed my original realmlist to \\"RENAME REALMLIST.WTF\\" to play normal WoW.
Now that is done, you should make your account with the server.
The \\"Homepage\\" link will take you to the server\\’s website, where you most oftenly sign up for an account, and can nearly almost instantly access the server after it.
Launch World of Warcraft after this and you will be faced with your login screen.
Use the account and password info you created on the site homepage, select the private realm and create your character!
Thats how easy it is.
Although I have, and can afford WoW, I thought it would be a nice idea to share this information with people who perhaps cant afford the game, or its too much of an effort for them to pay it. I hope you appreciated this tutorial as I hope it aids alot of people and encourages them to play the (In my eye\\’s) awesome game.
One last note before leaving this to an end: World of warcraft private servers may be slower than blizzard servers, the gameplay differs alot and nearly every server is bugged; These may only be small though.
