Ok, DaDevil here with yet another eBay related egg!
This egg is Revised version of my recent egg:
Make A Free eBay Account *pics* (DaDevil)
But, instead of making a simple Buying Account, this revised egg will tell you how to make a fully funtional Sellers Account!
And this egg is way more detailed, with even more pics!!
Make sure you put that somewhere, like a notpad file or something.
Now, go to eBay. (I used eBay Australia, but use the eBay according to your country).
Now, up where it says:
Click:
Now, it will prompt you to enter details (be them either REAL or FAKE):
So enter it. (Should look like this: without black spaces):
Make sure you have entered a valid email address, as the GMAIL works. (Check the orignal egg about the using of a GMAIL on eBay): HERE
Then tick on all the accepting all the Agreements and stuff, then submit it. Doing that, it will have verifyed that GMAIL is the working email, and that you dont need a credit card on file, and will tell you to procceed to your email inbox, to retrieve the Activation Email. Click "Continue To Gmail":
When you’ve signed into Gmail, click the Activate Your Ebay Membership button.
Clicking that will bring you back to eBay, with a Successfull Message:
You have made the Account!
Now, to the second part of the egg:
PART 2: ACTIVATING THE SELLERS ACCOUNT:
Now, Click the SELL Button:
It will prompt you to re-enter your password:
And will then bring you to a place where you type what you are going to sell.
Write what you want to sell, and continue:
It will prompt you then to choose a form of contact to sell, this is, you may either, put a CC # on file, (which you are not wanting to do): Or, get eBay to call you (on a landline, to verfy). Choose this one.
Now, here’s where my little trick comes in. eBay says you cannot use a mobile phone number. It must be a landline (homephone). Now, in the Phonebook, (index), there is a little thing where you can get your homephone number to divert all calls to a Mobile Number. eBay won’t know the difference. So, put down a number, your home number, but get it to temporarily divert calls to your mobile.
So, when eBay calls, it wont ring ur Home number, it will go to your mobile, and you can get the verification code, and after the transaction is complete, you can go on ebay, and cancell the phone number. And still have your Sellers Account. You then can un-divert calls off your Home Phone now...
Now, you have a fully functioning eBay SELLERS ACCOUNT!
Jan 22, 2007 2:19 am - i was gonna give you a 3 cause im not sure why it would matter between a mobile number and a home number? Please explain why it makes a differencr than ill rate a 5. Nice pics though. Nice egg, not clear on that part though
an 22, 2007 5:22 am - I dont know if it is because you are using the .au site or what but this doesnt work because when you click on sell it asks you to CREATE a sellers account. You then have to enter more information such as a bank account and credit card information.

can you just tell me what the big deal is abou them not calling your home phone?
well, If you are using the sellers account to scam, It’s advised you do the Phone Diversion thing, as you dont want (well, I sure would want), the eBay and Authorities knowing my Home Phone. And its easy to get a mobile number for scamming, etc. From Safeway/Woolworths, you can buy $2 Vodafone SIM Cards, and activate them at home (with phoney name, and phoney ID, etc)... And now you have a Fake SIM Number to replace your Home ###... And Ive tried it, works like a charm! (Well, In Australia it does!)
