How to train a dog to guard your house.
First to start off I would like to say that the best dog to pick to guard your house is either:
*German Shepherd
*Doberman
*Pit Bull
*Rottweiler
From experience I would pick the German Shepherd because I have had two and they are really
easy to train and will do anything to protect their family. They’re also beautiful dogs. Dobermans’
are my second favorite dog pretty much for the same reason the German SHepherds are. Pit Bulls’
and Rottweilers’ are really intimidating but are also stubborn as fuck, especially the Rottweiler.
There’s no such thing as a dog born bad so you must treat your dog with respect and give it love.
You must have time with your dog and spoil him/her a little bit.
To start off:
You should start with a puppy because they will listen a lot better. Quote: You can’t teach an old dog
new tricks.
commands:
*Come
*Sit
*Stay
*Down
*Off
*Drop it
*Etc.
You must show them who the Alpha Wolf is and not let them own you. When they do something bad you
have to let them know. Get him/her on their back and stare in his/her’s eyes and use a stern voice and tell
them "No!" Before you feed them give them a command, if they don’t listen don’t give it to them. Then wait
20 minutes and try it again. The alpha always eats first so set its’ food up on the counter and put something
you would eat in the bowl and start eating it so they think you’re eating before the dog does. NEVER FEED
them table scraps. When you enter a room where the dog is ignore him/her for a few minutes so they don’t
think they’re the center of attention and that you’re dominant. Don’t give the dog treats when it does something
good, you’re love will be enough to them. Never be below eye level with the dog because they will think
they’re above you. You must show to dog love but don’t let them sleep on your bed because the human is
supposed to have the more comfortable place to sleep.
Training dog to resist food:
Never let your dog eat any food besides dog food. Burgulars and strangers usually bring food to distract
the dog. To train him/her to do this place some human food on the ground, when the go for it hit them
UNDER THE SNOUT. Never hit a dog over it’s head. Repeat the process until they learn to not eat the
food.
If you train the dog to love you and refuse food from anyone, any dog no matter what breed would risk their
life to save/guard you. Dogs really are a man’s best friend if you treat them right.
German Shepherds are amazing dogs.
