Star Mine
Let me start out by telling you what a star mine is. A star mine is a divise that thrust stars into the air so they can fall down and light up the sky. This egg will tell you how to make a star mine, and how to make the black powder to fule it.
Black Powder
You will need three things to make the black powder. Those things are:
--Sulfur
--patasium nitrate
--charcole
You will first need to powder all the chemicals to a fine powder. Mix them in this ratio:
Sulfur-2 parts
patasium nitrate-15 parts
charcole-3 parts
Mix verry well. You now have black powder!
Stars
You make the stars by mixing black powder and magnesium. The magnesium must be in powdered form. The more magnesium you put in the mix, the more magnesium the brighter and faster the star burns.
Now that you have the star powder you need to make the star. Take the mix and add some water till it is a verry thick paste. Take bits of the paste and roll them into little balls. Let them dry and you will have stars.
The Mine
Take a verry thick walled tube and plug the end with hot glue or wood. When it is pluged up put a fuse hole on the botom of tube(see the photo). Put in a piece of fuse.the the fuse hole shut.
Now you have to add the powder. Put in 1 1/2 Tbls of black powder in the tube. Now put in 9 or 10 stars. Put 1 tsp of black powder on top and gently shake to cover all the stars.
Get a small bit of clothe and put in the tube and put over top of the stars. Get some hot glue and put a THIN layer of it over the stars and let dry.
You now have a star mine. Take note of the pic below to help you out.

Simply mixing the chemicals "Very well" will NOT give good enough BP to lift something. You must ball mill it. MUST! What kind of charcoal? Most idiots here will use BBQ briquettes, and that will suck ass, it wont even stay lit for me!
Adding Mg to BP? BP + metals is a good, simple star, but Mg corrodes when there is potassium nitrate, or water, in this case there is both. I would recommend coarse particles of Mg, it will give falling white lights.
Mar 11, 2007 11:36 pm - 2* cos that is very shitty meal powder and not Bp and that is not how to make stars, go to unitednuclear.com and go to experiments cos that is the way to make proper stars that really work well, ive tried and RESEARCH please though the diagrams alright but as i see you c/p but cos you admited it ill give you 2 *
