Welcome to another Computer egg by Dboi! The following are tips and tricks to help you with your computer.





How to Speed up the Start Menu


The speed of your Start Menu is very slow, but you can fix that by editing a Registry Key.

Start>Run>Regedit

Navigate to:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Control Panel\\Desktop\\ MenuShowDelay.

It should look like this:



Click Modify



And change it to a smaller value such as 0 to speed it up.



How to Rename Multiple files in one go


Now this is easy! Highlight a few items and then press F2 and rename one of the files highlighted to something else. All the files will be renamed to the new file name, With a number at the end like so





How to change the Refresh rate


Right Click on your desktop, then go Settings click Advanced and finally Monitor..Change the refresh rate to maximum as greater refresh rates provide with clear screen much less eyestrain.



How to create a shortcut to lock your computer


Right click on Desktop and click New>Shortcut

Then type:rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation



The click Next and Rename it if you like, and click Finish.
You could also change the icon to a padlock by Clicking properties and clicking properties and then paste this: %SystemRoot%\\system32\\SHELL32.dll and choose the padlock.

regedit is good but if you dont know what yr doing they i’d suggest not fucking with it because you could fuck yrself over

the refresh rate thing is common sence,srry

the renaming thing, thats news 2 me, do you know when microshit included that? (like 2k,xp,vista?)

and you can just hit WINKEY+L to lock a computer
i believe it works in xp and vista not sure about 2k

overall good egg man, cant wait 4 the next one

highly reccomend max of 70 hz with a 1280x1025 resolution, 75 cuts stuff off of the screen and makes it fuzzy...yet the extremely smooth mouse scares me, im sticking with 60 cause with my monitor it looks weird....in a bad way, 5

faster way to lock ur computer is to hold the windows key on ur keyboard (if you have one) and press L

yup, the startup menu and renaming files ones are new to me. My menu setting was at 400 too, why dont microsoft just set it to 0 to start with?? And that renaming one will come in handy too, thanks! 5*
