Well, this is my highly anticipated egg of pictures and small bits of information I acquired throughout my trip to China over Spring Break. The pictures are nicely sized, and the captions hardly require any reading. So, I now present it to you. Enrich yourselves!
Note: To see the images in a bigger size, click on the pictures to open them in a new window!

Beijing:

-This was the view of the room in the Gloria Plaza Hotel that we stayed at. I had a feeling the flash would fuck up, so, I apologize for the glare.

-This is a picture of one of the first buildings we saw when we were walking into Tianamen Square.

-This next building is where they are going to hold the Olympics in 2008. If you look closely, you can see the automated countdown they have in front of the building until the day the Olympics start.

-The entrance to the forbidden city. And who else, but a giant portrait of Communist leader Mao Zedong. For those who don’t know, he is now dead.

-This is a picture of one of the little palace areas I guess inside the garden area in the Forbidden City. If you look on the roofs, there are like statues of animals. These animals represent the rank of the buildings. They are all odd numbers. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. If it has 10, it is the highest ranked building in that area. The animals all vary too, which is cool.

-Just a huge hunk of Crystal rock. I just thought people might like to see it.

-Just some pagodas you see after you finally exit the Forbidden City.

And now Ladies and Gentlemen, photos from The Great Wall Of China...(All of these pictures are in order as I was ascending up The Great Wall. We only had an hour to get as far as we could on the side we were on. I was almost to the upper-most point, which you can see in the last picture, but because of time, I had to go back down.)

-A little souveneir shop to the side right as you start climbing up.

-Hillside view.

-Mountain view over the side of the wall.

-Vast mountaintops.

-View from over the side of the wall again.

-Across the horizon.

-This is what the insides of the tiers looked like. Reading some of the graffiti people wrote was pretty amusing. This is one of the two "Clegg-like" photos I took.

-I refer to this one as the second of my "Clegg-like" photos, just because he takes great pictures of seemingly obscure things. So, those 2 were nothing fancy.

-That was a picture of the last tier I was just at, before heading into the one that was the second to last.

-After coming out, it was wonderful. The Great Wall is composed of mostly stairs. So, when I finally found an even walkway, I was quite happy. Don’t blame me. I’m in excellent shape, and even some of the other well-built kids got more exhausted then I did.

-Just to show how high up I was.

-I was so close to that last one, but, I had to go.

-Coming back from The Great Wall, we passed by a wedding, so I figured I’d snag a picture.

-And to close off the portion of what I sawin Beijing, this is a picture of a gangster car for the lulz. It has a bike tire in the front and car tires on the back. That was one of the weirdest things I saw on the entire trip.
=====================================================

Shanghai:

-This is the view of the Portman Hotel we stayed in in Shanghai. We were on the 8th floor and saw the stadium directly across the street. One morning I woke up and even saw some Tai-Chi going on!

-This was a Buddha constructed of White Jade we saw at the Jade factory.

-A crappy picture of a nice silk rug I saw when we went into the Silk Factory.

-Yes, everything on that bed is made of silk. I kind of wanted to go and lay on it, but I didn’t want to get shot in China. That’s like a bed for the gods.

-This was the traditional Chinese instrumental band we watched at this Music Conservatory. They were all in Middle School, and played better than us, and we’re one of the top bands in our state, if I recall. That was shameful.

-Another picture of the same band.

-This was taken from the bus, descending down towards the Shanghai River to see sights of the city from across the water.

-Near the Space Needle they had a shop, and on the inside was a miniature model of the Space Needle.

-This is a picture looking straight up at the actual thing.

-This was a picture of Shanghai buildings on the side of the river we are at.

-This was the picture I took that I like the most. The rest are "sub-par" compared to this.

[b]-Just a ridiculously cool building I saw I thought everyone needed to see.

-This was a main view of where we met at in the Shanghai Shopping District before we were able to go around by ourselves and find stuff that we wanted.

-I had to take a picture of at least something in China that was Americanized. All hail the "New" American Embassy.

-This was inside of the music store. They had these awesome traditional instruments and loads of other musical trinkets also.

-It’s hard to see, but these were pictures of various pipes inside one of the stores.

-I hope this causes mass lulz. It’s a miniature statue of a couple apparently having sex. I deemed it "The Rape Figurine". The guy selling it said something to us in Mandarin and we started laughing at it so he did also.

-This was in the evening in another Shopping District area of Shanghai. Just some cool signs.

-This picture is also tied for the one that I like the best. Downtown Shanghai all the way! If you look in the bottom left corner, you can see the true Americanized establishment in China. It’s McDonalds!

-Back at the Shanghai River at night. A photo of neon signs before the boat ride.

-Some more neon in front of the boat.

-The boat we took for a boat ride across the Shanghai River on the last night we were there.

So, there you have it. Please leave feedback because it helps me out a lot! Everything is appreciated. Thank You. If I can get this into the Egg Spotlight, I’ll post a picture of myself and my friend inside one of the biggest buildings in the Forbidden City that was under construction.

Thanks RER!

Pentium, sadly I didn’t find your utlet anywhere, although I was looking.

Da_Phil, to reiterate my point, click on the photos to make them bigger!

And why the fuck did the rating drop? It was at like 4.99, and now it’s at 4.13. This blows.

Wow, I come to view this and it has 78 votes, and now 2 votes later, the rating goes down again. I never realized how many assholes there were that were jealous of good eggs. At least have the courage to say something.
