Okay, I have an almost foolproof way of getting free stuff from Best-Buy, Big 5, or any other store that has gift cards.
1. Materials
-Pen and paper
-OPTIONAL camera
2. Enter the store and find the gift card section. Take a few of different denominations, and leave to the bathroom or some other less viewable part of the store. Do this like your stealing it, you don’t want anyone to see you. Be carefule, often the gift cards are near the counter, so you might have to wait until no one is looking.
3. Jot down the serial number and any other numbers on the card that are security related. This is where you could just take a quick snapshot of it instead with a camera to speed things up. Also, make sure to get the 800 number on the card for finding out how much the card is worth.
4. Put the cards back on the rack. Make sure that the cards are ON TOP!
5. Wait. Hopefully after a few days someone will have bought one and activated it. Call the number every day to see if it has been activated. Once it has, you can go on their website and buy things with it using the "card not present" option.
6. REPEAT. This works best if done in large quantities. The more cards, the more free stuff. So I suggest using a camera to speed things up.

Oh really? I have three eggs, all have been in the "Best of New" section for more than 1-2 months, and they all have been accepted into the directory. I have been here for almost 2 years, so I think you should shut the fuck up.

This egg might work, but the serial number is sometimes hidden under a latex coating, like a lottery ticket, and must be scratched to be revealed. Once it’s scratched, no one will buy it.
Also, calling for the balance of a card that hasn’t yet been activated will cause the database to flag that card for fraud. When someone tries to buy the card legitimately, it won’t activate, and they’ll grab another.

Apr 17, 2007 3:23 am - Good idea.. but the cards we have in Australia.. .You have to scratch with a coin to reveal the number, so i don’t think anyone is going to buy one that has been scratched..
or the staff probably won’t sell it to the customer if it has been scratched revealing the number..

May 26, 2007 7:58 pm - This can work and you won’t get in trouble if you do the following. Change your ip address when you go onto the site to put your order. And have it sent to an address were nobody lives.
