Materials
1. Sparklers
2. Egg Cup filled with water
3. Mortar and Pestle
4. Small Ceramic Dish
5. Metal Spoon
6. Old shoe lace (rounded is the best)
Method:
Part 1: Making the mix
Remove the sparkler powder and put it in the Mortar and Pestle. Crush up the sparklers powder into a very fine dust. Now get your metal spoon and SLOWLY drip water into the powder while stirring it. Keep adding water until it gets to a toothpaste consistency.
Part 2: Coating the fuse
Now cut off a length of shoe lace (however long you want it) and put it into the mix. Make sure to use the spoon to fully cover the shoe lace thickly. Tip: Its best to make fuse in bulk so make 5 or so at a time. When you have finished covering the shoe lace take it out and put it on some newspaper to dry. This fuse is the best when left to dry over night or longer, so the longer drying time the better.
Part 3: Extra’s
If you want your fuse to light easily cut the black end of a sparkler (where you light it) and stick that on the end. Note: You can also replace the sparkler end with a match head if you wish.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my egg.
Till next time

Apr 23, 2007 8:25 am - my idea, just use the sparkler as it is.

Apr 23, 2007 9:01 am - ^Exactly

Apr 23, 2007 9:54 am - the sparkler works just fine for a fuse for me. I like to use the mini ones. 4*

i like being mean :) 2*s |

Apr 23, 2007 1:26 pm - 3*. You did a good job and explained it well, but it is way easier just to use the sparkler itself as a fuse.

Apr 23, 2007 3:09 pm - decent egg. nice layout . needed pictures and possibly a better topic idea. due to you being Australian i will award you with a 5*.

Apr 23, 2007 3:20 pm - hey 5* for you, just because it will help people who cant buy fuses and shit.

Apr 23, 2007 5:58 pm - You could also use wool or string instead of the shoelace. Just repeat step 2.
Apr 23, 2007 7:23 pm - What are you going do use the fuse for? "Bombs"? Half assed "rockets"? Why not, use fireworks the way they are intended to be used. That kind of shit pisses me off, dont dismantle a perfectly good firework to make a "bomb" or some shit. I am not making accusations, rather asking questions

Apr 23, 2007 8:50 pm - theirs an easier way to get a fuse, go buy some from a hardware store for 5 bucks

Apr 24, 2007 1:42 am - 5*

Apr 24, 2007 6:12 am - 5*s You Aussies and I share the same conditions. I feel ya

| Apr 24, 2007 11:59 pm - i feel for you. We australians cant get anything aside from rocket engines at $25 for 3 | |
