To day i will show you how to make ground blooms...
what are ground blooms you ask?

This firework is very good at setting anything it gets near ablaze and

it will also spin briefly in the air if thrown or mechanically launched after the fuse has been lit.
now that you know what it is, here is how to make it!.
now that you have your tube pluged and its dry, put in your ramrod and mark it (the rod)
now put it on the side of the tube and mark right abuve the end plug (thats what you marked your ramrod!)
now put a hole in it JUST bigenuff for your fuse and put your fuse in. (you dont need to glue it in)
now get a small bit of paper or a funnel and your black powder. now put in about a tablespoon at a time and
pack it REALLY good with your ramrod and keep doing this tell its about this full.
now plug up this end really good.
and your done!.

May 02, 2007 6:31 pm - Good egg, I would add in aluminum or magnesium, or charcoal for sparks :) Try getting some BBQ charcoal, make it as fine as sugar crystals, not powdered sugar. It makes nice orange sparks.
May 03, 2007 7:18 am - i believe this would work quite well. I remember them fireworks from when i was a kid and the laws weren’t so fucked up. but haven’t been able to play with them since. I’m holding my vote until i see the video though.
^^ that is not fine enough for flash. Its probably around 300 mesh
actually, some art stores sell exrtemely fine aluminium powders, finer even then what you find in most really good flash powder, i found some that was about 6-10 nano metres per granules.

a) First of all, it looks like you are using visco 1/16" which means that your hole can’t be much bigger than 1/15". If I were to try that with my black powder, it is much more likely that the whole thing would just blow up.
b) Why only one hole? That would send it spinning off in some random direction. If you do one hole on one side and end of the tube, and then do another hole on the other end and side, it would have a sorta "pinwheel" effect, and would not only spin faster, but not move as far in some random direction.
