I’ve recently returned from scotland, the very top, its approximately 440 miles from where i live and the 12-hour drive sucked.
Here are just some random pics around the area!
This picture was took at a place where salmon are supposed to leap, i didn’t see any, damn pretty river though!
This picture is the view across a huge river, took very close to the sea.
This is a river that runs through the beach into the sea.
Across the river we fished, full of salmon and sea trout and we saw a seal!
Picture i took on the drive, no idea where it is though :S
View across on the lochs we visited.(Yes i used a scottish word, you can kiss me later!)
We visited "The Glenmorangie Distillery" For those of you who aren’t familiar with this drink, its a type of scotch single malt whiskey. We were on a guided tour, yes, yes i know i’m so hard-core
This is where they mix the whiskey, it holds a ridiculously large amount of whiskey. I can’t remember how much exactly, but alot.
This is where they heat the whiskey as the first part that evaporates is called the head its roughly 30% acohol, which is too weak for whiskey, then the middle part burns which is then cooled which makes it condense (I believe this method is called Fractional Distisilation, from what i remember from science, i maybe wrong) they use this part for the whiskey its roughly 50% alcohol then the tail is evaporated this is about 80% alcohol.
Some homer simpson style controls
All the barrels of whiskey, they lend these out to bourbon companys like JD’s for 10 years, so they get a distinct flavor.
This was on the door on the way in, took it for lulz
Well thats the end of this egg, hope you liked it as much as i did!

and yer! love the views as well xD looks like you’ve had a great time, looks like it was worth the 12hr drive =]
5* l0l
Jun 03, 2007 3:38 pm - Dblack would you stop saying everything is a day trip! This is most probably not a day trip as Mr. Burnshit stated it was a 12-hour drive, and he recently returned. You don’t say "Recently returned" if you were just on a day trip. 5* on this one.

I’m curious to know where you went. I live right by a famous whiskey distillery, wondering if you were here or somewhere else. Was it Talisker distillery by any chance?
