Take a chlorine tablet (you should have some if you have a pool) and break it into pieces and stuff some of it into a plastic bottle (glass will probably work, but i dont enjoy being hit by flying shards of glass). Then pour some rubbing alcohol into it, put the cap on, shake, and throw. In about 40 seconds it will expand and turn yellow and explode. (the time might change depending on how much you use and the size of the bottle)
If you want to have even more fun, stick it inside something. Heres a video of me putting one in a pumpkin:

So enjoy, but remember that the gas that builds up in it and makes it explode is poisonous and shouldnt be inhaled (it killed my lawn around where i did that lol). Good luck!!
Jun 24, 2007 7:02 pm - Hmm who doesn’t know this? anyhoo i got some storys about this, brings back the gold ol days so 3*
Jun 24, 2007 7:02 pm - Pouring alcohol onto chlorine is dumb. Alcohol is an extremley easy to oxidize substance, hence why it burns so well, and so easily. And chlorine, is a strong oxidizer that is easy to give up its electrons. Mixing these two result in almost instant oxidation, and instant gas build up. Also, guess what speeds this all up, yep, pressure. So the more pressure it makes, the faster it goes.
Also, the "yellowish" gas is PURE chlorine GAS! This was used in WWII as a poison gas. And trust me, I have breathed some in by accident,it is awful.
Jun 26, 2007 3:05 am - who on earth would do this? maybe a terrorist, or just a pure dumbass. if you are really desperate for a big boom, bombs that only involve fire are far more better for the environment if you do them when there isn’t a fire ban season. chlorine is just sickening.
