Me & some of my friends took a go kart & put it in a sewer tunnel. We put on some mosquito repellant & took flashlights. The tunnel was about a mile long so we put a fat muffler on the the exhaust pipe & hauled ass through there. One day there was a sudden rainstorm which equals flash flood in the tunnel. We had to get the kart away from certain floodage. We crawled into a manhole & found the kart. Like a suspenseful movie we had to turn it around & crank it up but the damn thing wouldn’t crank. When it finally did we hauled ass through the tunnel, the water could be heard over the blazing engine & since we had an extra light I turned it behind us & I was horrified. Like that Indiana Jones movie there was alot of water hauling ass right behind us as unbeleivable as it sounds. Then We got a few drops & I heard a hiss so I turned back around & saw the engine getting steamed & drenched. So I did the only other thing, I grabbed the carburator & pulled the accelerator cable back as far as it could go & then we started to lose the water. In about 3 minutes later we finally got out, drove up a ramp, & just missed a drowning. We were amazed, I had to tell my other buddies about it. The next trip was bad, we ran head first into a smaller flash flood & had to swim out. The kart was seen about 10 minutes later when the gushing got as bad as before. The thing made one hell of an exit & came to a halt. We fixed it back up but when we put octane booster in the tank & drove it through a field the gas pedal got stuck & we bailed while watching the kart drive right through the mud & into a barn. The damn thing never really stayed together long enough to have fun with.
