This is my first egg so be gentle on the rating please :) and tell me how I did I would really love to know. This is like the only thing I could think of for an egg that isn’t already taken. The pics are blurry because they were taken with a cell phone.
Well anyways, while playing guitar hero II for ps2 my whammy bar broke. I don’t know the best word for it so ill just say it went limp. It doesn’t spring back up after you push it down.
Wow what a bummer. I opened up my guitar controller to see if I could find the problem and I did. Connected to the round white thing on the outside of the controller that the whammy bar is attached to (the round thingy is on the outside, the next thing is on the inside) there is a little tiny plastic thing that when you hit the whammy bar will hit a spring, so when you release the whammy bar it pops back up! It’s not that hard to figure out what to do if your thinking hard, and you don’t need much supplies! All you need is:
about 3 rubber bands
and of course your controller!
ok so I only added that so i could show off my giant monkey :) lol
Step 1:
Take the strap off the peg closest to the whammy bar and turn the whammy bar facing it. Place the rubber band around the peg then all the way around the whammy bar too!
Step 2:
Do that with as many rubber bands as desired. The more rubber bands the more force you have to apply to the whammy bar to push it down. It’s not very hard to do that though so i recommend putting more rubber bands on so the whammy bar also will pop up faster for those of you hard core whammy bar using rockers. When all the rubber bands are attached turn the whammy bar back to its normal possition and it should stay upright.
Well thats really it...pretty simple. If any of you can’t do it then you should kill yourself. Heres an image of what it should look like when your done if your not retarded
Please comment if you have read this and even if your guitar hero controller isn’t broken you can use this so the whammy bar pops up faster.
Jul 26, 2007 3:44 pm - cool 5!!! hasnt happened to any of my 4 controllers yet, but a lot of my friends controllers have broken wammy bars, no if only you could tell me how to fix a real wammy bar ..........
Jul 27, 2007 8:53 am - good info dude, mine isnt really broken but it lags so, it only starts working after you have pressed it up and down a couple of times first then its ok, weird huh?
Jul 28, 2007 11:12 am - pretty good, but I have no real use for it since both of mine aren’t broken. I gave it a 4 tho because you said it was your first egg.
