There have been eggs on this before, but they weren’t very specific about things, and gave minor tips. I’m going to give a rundown on how to do this, regardless of where you sell online.
This is another one of those near-effortless ways to make money online. It takes a bit more time, but you make more money. You don’t HAVE to use eBay, but for the sake of ease, I’m going to say eBay from now on.
Ever hear of drop shipping? It’s when you sell items online that aren’t in your possession. The trick is, make sure you pick an item in high demand, and make sure you can get it cheaper than what your ending sale price is.
Here’s how you do it:
1. Pick an item that costs a few hundred dollars, and that will sell fast on eBay, because small items are a waste of time, especially with the eBay fees. Amazon is good for finding GREAT prices on items to sell.
2. Make a professional looking posting, people trust you more when you look professional. A simple Google search will turn up lots of eBay post generators, instant professionalism!
3. Make absolutely sure that your item sells for at least 50$ more than you’re selling it for. Shipping cost helps out with this, because you can put a flat rate that will add 50-100$ to the cost easily. It’s somewhat "cheating", but make another account and win the auction, if all else fails. You can tell eBay the buyer never paid, and then you don’t get charged. This step is most important, because eBay charges you when you successfully sell an item. You’ll end up negative in money if you aren’t careful.
4. When you receive payment for the item, pay for the item at the site you originally found it, and ship it to the address of the winning bidder. It’s an instant 50-100 dollars, and you don’t need money to start.
Tip: Be VERY careful shipping overseas, you’ll get complaints of customs charges, international shipping costs a lot, etc. Also, be quick to answer bidder questions, because the better service you have, the more people will want to buy from you.

Oh, it DOES work, it’s what all the power sellers on eBay do. I’ve made money through it, but I’ve also lost money from international sales, which is why I warned about it :) |

this is common sense selling something for more than you bought it , it doesnt take a genius to figure out that if you buy something on the net after you have actuioned it of for more than your paying for it that your gonna gain something from nothing 0* uneeded effort |

tanarchy: You’re an idiot. The technical definition of dropshipping is to use a wholesaler, however not everyone knows how to find them, as has been said in another comment. Dropshipping is, ultimately, selling other peoples’ items for more than you buy them. "Middling" so to speak.
And common sense tells you to sell an item for more than you buy it for, obviously, but to sell the item before you have it is another topic altogether. How the fuck is this unneeded effort?
omgitsmogo: You don’t need dropshippers. You need items priced lower than retail, that’s it. Amazon works for it, and I’ve mentioned that.
Valo: Use a proxy, if you honestly think they’re going to dig that deep. Or have a friend win the auction. Don’t follow me exactly if you don’t want, this is just a rundown on the procedure; adapt to your own needs/thoughts.
graboid9 : Apparently not everyone has heard of it, and how it works. Maybe YOU have, but you didn’t learn it from rotteneggs, seeing as there’s no eggs solely about the method I’ve explained. The entire point of eggs is to contribute information that someone may not have heard. And I did, so I’m content, even if you didn’t learn anything. |
