A guide for beginners
PART ONE
Lets begin with what a pickpocket is a thief who steals from pockets. Pickpocketing is a form of petty larceny that has existed since the first time people began carrying things in pockets, and the basics havent really ever changed. Theres a sucker born every minute, so pickpockets dont have to change their methods much, just practice until the get it perfect. The methods maybe old to the cannon, but theyll be new to the mark. Most pickpockets, one way or another, start off early in their trade, which is good since pickpockets need to acquire the three main skills involved with this sort of theft, patience, dexterity, and a good knowledge of human behavior. Distraction is the basic of all Pickpocketing, no matter when, where, or how it is carried off
An experienced pickpocket is not necessarily the decrepit person hiding in dark alleyways and can appear like a typical person in both appearance and character. They do not want to stand out, but in fact blend in to their surroundings. Because of their chosen line of work most pickpockets spend a large amount of time studying how to mingle in a crowd. Most Pickpocketing takes place where large groups of people get together. Bus
terminals, railroad stations, public arenas, department stores, or even the city street can supply plenty of potential marks for the pickpockets probing hands. Several factors are involved in this but it all boils down to the fact there are an increased number opportunities to commit the theft of the wallet and other valuables and other variables reduce the risk that the pickpocket will be caught.
What is a pickpockets favorite victim? Women with loose dangling purses, lost out of towners or tourists caring lots of cash, distracted teenage girls and the elderly. They also look for shy, nave looking people or parents distracted by their children. Women are usually targeted for theft more often than men. Their wallets are not in contact with their bodies or even on them at all. The best time to strike is shortly after the mark exposes their wallets, revealing their location.

Feb 03, 2006 4:47 pm - I like your eggs, i discovered this site, early this morning, and i have been reading a lot of your eggs, and i find them very helpful, I am brand new at pick pocketing. after reading a few of your articles i went around my town, just observing ppl and the surroundings, and anyways... i just want you to know i find your articles very useful.
