What is this??
This egg will you give you instructions on constructing your own firecracker pen.
Materials 1. Flash Powder, or any other explosive powder
2. A Bic Pen
3. Scissors
4. Hot glue or epoxy
5. Tape
6. Visco Fuse, or similar fuse
7. A small screw
8. Scrap piece of paper
Procedure
1. First gather your explosive powder, I chose flash powder.
2. Cut the end off of the pen, then using a screw, pull the ink tube out.
[note, I used a black pen because I was halfway through making this when I figured I should make an egg]
3. Carefully, pour the powder in through your hole, a proper amount is at least 40% up the pen.
4. Your fuse should be about 4 inches long, I taped mine together for an extension.
5. Insert the fuse into the powder so about 1.5 inches stick out.
6. Using a hot glue gun, or epoxy, liberally apply glue so it completely plugs the hole.
Now I know what you’re thinking, "zomg, im gunna get blown up from teh hot glue lighting the fuse/powder!!!1"
Do not worry, it does not get hot enough to set off anything, if you don’t believe me, test it yourself.
8. Now using a small piece of paper, push the glue into the pen hole.
9. After letting it harden, remove the paper and glue hanging over the side.
10. Bend the fuse over, then put the cap over it.
11. Make sure a little piece of fuse is sticking out, I trimmed mine short because I like to pretend I’m James Bond...
12. ALL DONE!!!
Use As always, follow the basic safety rules, light and run. For this, I’d estimate 20+ feet is a safe distance...
To light, simply hold a lighter or match up to the fuse sticking out.
You could always rig up electronic detonation with the steel wool and battery routine [Google it dumb asses].
BTW, this is waterproof ;)

Aug 17, 2007 5:54 am - ***** and favorites. yes, the "FiReCrAcKeR pEn" idea is old as dirt, bu this is one of the best and simplest methods of doing it, and in this case it being simple means that it works better because the casing is still in one peice. plus, this is very descripive, well layed-out and well thought-out, and has clear instructions and pictures. this is a good quality egg.
and UK is right, just stuff some tissue down into it to prevent the tip of the glue gun from hitting.
another alternative is using Bondo. most people dont have it around, but if you do, it hardens up faster and harder than superglue, making less of a weak point where the glue is. the only problem, is if you want it to be a nice, good looking finished product, you wont be able to trim the excess Bondo off the sides, it’ll be too hard. but if you dont care about looks and want a good explosion, Bondo’s good.
and great idea with the GIF, fucking links to youtube suck balls, at least get the link they give you to put it in a forum, that way the video is here, no one wants to go somewhere.
