First off your body has to be relaxed if you aren’t or if you are too amped to astral travel... you probably won’t.
This is the method i use to relax:
First lie down. Imagine there are hundreds of little men in your body that "control" you, they pull on every little muscle. They are what "make you move". Okay now imagine all these men starting from your toes (doing them individually if you have to) walking higher up your body until they reach your chest, you must do this for every muscle, in your arms, legs etc. and once they are all in your chest(make sure Every muscle is relaxed) move them from your chest to your head making your entire body "dead weight" then close your eyes slowly or at there "own" pace relaxing your eye muscles and then make sure your jaw is relaxed too, might be slightly open.
You are now relaxed.
Now concentrate on your astral body leaving your physical that is all you must think of, nothing else, when you start thinking about other things quickly remind yourself of your main objective at the time... to leave your body. Imaging your physical body sinking into your bed or whatver and your spiritual body leaving it. If you get vibrations this is an indication that you are getting close but don’t think about the vibrations think about the main task at hand once again.
Another method that worked for me was imaging the roof was a magnet and you imagine the roof coming closer to your physical body, when this happens you spiritual body gravitates towards it. Slowly start letting the roof come closer and closer in increasing increments, also getting faster.
it’s not "guaranteed" to work everytime, but practice and try often enough and you might find yourself on the astral plain sooner than you think.

Another way is to imagine you’re on a flight of stairs, and when you get to the bottom you’ll be in "paradise" or whatever but you have to relax to get there, and every "step" you go down relaxes you more.
I’m kinda into shit like that, though, so i’ll definitely try this the next time i’m bored. It’ll be cool as hell if i can make it work. |
