The following is a guide to creating an administrator account on your school\\’s computer system. Unfortunately, this isn\\’t guaranteed to work - some schools give you little to no access when you\\’re logged on with a student account. Regardless...
---
The first step is to start the computer up in safe mode - which can be done by pressing F8 upon startup before Windows actually loads.
Second, you need to open up the registry editor via either the command prompt or run application. You only need to enter a single command - regedit. Press enter.
If you have access to either, you can skip this step!
You may have both the command prompt and the run application disabled. Nothing unexpected - you can do virtually anything with them. Check if you have the notepad application.
No? Open up your internet browser, click view on the top left, and find page source. There is the notepad application, but you can\\’t edit anything with it?! Okay.. no problem.. save it to your desktop as a .txt file and open it.
Now let\\’s make us of it. Type in cmd.exe . Save the file as .bat and run the program. There is your new command prompt.
Resume here.
The command you entered will open the registry editor. The next task it to find where the special accounts are located. Easy. Follow the following pictures.
Time to create the account. Right click and create a new DWORD value. Rename it something you will easily remeber, but something not easily associated with you and untraceable. Don\\’t use your name; this will be your username. Remember it exactly - it\\’s case sensitive.
Right click and modify it. Enter a value data of 1 and press enter. At this point, you can exit the registry editor.
Open up the command prompt again. It\\’s time to define your password. This time enter net user username * . In place of username enter the name of your new DWORD value; in my case Skactopus. Remeber, this is case sensitive!
When you hit enter, it will prompt you to enter a password. Type in your desired password, but be extremely careful as it does not show what you are type. It will look like your keyboard isn\\’t working. Passwords are also case sensitive. If you feel like you\\’ve messed up, hold backspace for a full second or three - depending on how bad you mess up :/
Hit enter, retype the same password, and hit enter. If you accidentally hit enter, close the command prompt and retry.
Congratulations! Log out and gloriously type in the password to your new administrator account, you administrator!
Sep 02, 2007 12:39 pm - Nice egg, but it won’t work for most schools. The CMD trick doesn’t normally work, and most students accounts are on a network, thus this doesn’t work at all.
I was going to rate this 3*, but then I saw the rating was higher then 3*, so I won’t be a douche. And BTW, I know a nice exploit allowing me to rate more then once.
Thanks to the first dick to vote a 0 and not have the stones to say why.
What Alle said on his egg yet failed to mention why he gave this egg a 4... coincidence, I think not dun dun dun. Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo You have just entered the twilight zone...........
He has a secret message below the C/P that says, "nah, its a pretty good guide, 4*"
Highlight it if you don’t believe me.
as you can see... he didnt actually read your egg, he was looking at his comments =]
good egg rly, my school has amazing security, you have no idea how much ive tried, ive been caught far too many a time *sigh* it wont let DOS run at all. nor regedit, it wont even run applications that are not listed, ive been through many different ways you get into the system. so far, without any tools ive got as far as just using the IE options>internet options etc>cookies>view cookies. then clicking on "folder" and i can see all users in the school that are logged on. not their files.
Ive been making many programs and things in HTML etc to get in... all unsuccessful :’(
im going into year 11 on tues... final year... ill have to do it before the end!
Sep 03, 2007 6:24 am - wtf i can just go into C:drive and then be like system32 etc etc. learn how by reading my egg on unlocking C drive on school computers
Sep 03, 2007 4:55 pm - It really might seem like a lot because the of the length of the egg, but it really only takes a good five minutes at the very most if you know what you’re doing when you go in there.
Sep 09, 2007 3:39 pm - yeah i never had to do this b/c our network security was shit. :)
but to eggzelent, if you can run 5cripts, make a .reg file and a .bat that will automate all the things you have to do in regedit and cmd prompt.
this is on the client only though, so it will only work for that computer. not much use on a good network (university or statewide HS infastructure). i could see using this at the public library though.
