Ok first off the images are from wikiHow this was my original idea edited by many but just so we don’t have a bunch of c/p whiners ill rewrite it.
Ok to start off you will need these things
-Guitar pick to trace pattern(optional you can make your own design but actual picks work best)
-Marker of any type that you can see on plastic
-Scissors or anything you can cut plastic with
-some sandpaper lower grades are best for this
-and finally some plastic of some sort
To start off pick out your plastic and depending on the thickness and hardness you will find various feels to the picks you make. Personally I like a semi thick soft plastic pick because of the slight flex I get.
Now you need to either trace your design with an existing pick or use a ruler and make your own design.
Using a suitable cutting tool carefully follow your trace and cut your design out.
Now finally using some lower grade sandpaper sand the edges to your preferences (note in the picture I use a emery board because that was all I had at the time.
Now finally you have your pick. To add some flair to it you can paint it with cool designs using tape (put the tape where you want stripes and such) and paint over the pick.
So I would recommend starting out and just trying to make an identical pick to the one you may have traced and then work your way up to a cool pick with some crazy designs.

Just because it’s already on the internet, doesn’t mean that it’s been ripped off.
