Ok I searched for an egg on how to change a bike flat and there was none so I figured that I would make one and to all those idiots who say 0* common knowledge this isn’t common knowledge, you have to learn it somewhere and if you don’t care then don’t read it. Also say why if you rate low and sorry about the strech.
Ok so first off were going to need these
-pump
-bucket (optional)
-scissors
-patch
-patch glue
-tire lever
-sandpaper(optional)

So were going to put our bike in this position as this is best for servicing it.

Now were going to remove our tire (whichever is flat, I am using my back)
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
So now we well let out almost all the remaining air if any

Now were going to take our tire lever and place it between the rim and the tire
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Now pull the tire lever all the way around the rim until the tire is separated from the rim and it looks like a broken tire and remove the tire rim and tube from each other

Ok so now we need to find our leak/hole in the tube hers mine in the upper right
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Now there are two ways I know of to find the hole
1) Pump some air into the tube so that it has some air but no enough to leak out, then place it in a bucket of water and squeeze and watch were the bubbles come out and this is your leak.
2) Continue pumping air into your flat tube and listen to where the air is escaping then manually find the exact spot
Now that you have found the hole you can optionally use sandpaper on the area that your patch will cover to help it stick or/and then you will spread your patch glue/rubber solution over the area you will place your patch.
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Once you have applied the patch glue place your patch firmly and with even pressure upon the glue and keep holding it down for about a minute and then allow the glue to dry according to its instructions.

So now you should have a patched tube and to put it back on we need to put enough air to give the tire its shape but not to make it firm like so
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Ok so place the tube around the rim and place them inside the tire like so
[This Member can not display images, they need to upgrade Member Level]
Ok so now we need to get the tires into the rim like it was when we began so you need to grab about 1 third of the actual tire and squeeze on both side and push down so that the two sides of the tire are inside the rim. Once you have 1 third in it should be easy to place the rest of tire back in place and then you can pump it back up and bam

now you can place your tire back in its socket and refasten it and then you have a sexy bike like this

Now your done and you can roll away and do sick tricks like this

there usually like that
Sep 11, 2007 7:37 pm - A valve core removal tool will help remove the air. When removing the tire off the rim, try no to stab the tube. Inspect the inside of the tire for your nail. If you leave the nail in the tire, it will poke a hole in the tube again. 4*
Sep 12, 2007 2:52 am - cant belive this hasent been done befor on RE. Thanks for posting it, coz im always having flat tiers lol. EXTREAMLY well done! and well layed out, nice pics.
Sep 12, 2007 8:29 am - id say that its common knowledge and everyone just already knows this... but its shameful the amount of people that have the repair kits and dont even know how to use them.
but yea, im gonna give it a 5 because its well done :)
Sep 13, 2007 3:41 pm - I’m asian... but don’t ride a bike. (Too fat or something)
And if I did ride a bike... I’d be too lazy to fix the flat when my fatass deflates it. (Too fat or something again)
I’m out of breath just reading about doing it.
Thanks for the workout... 5 stars!
