Ok before you can fool your friend you have to but the TVs in is house on a channel that it just show buzz. Then you get a two-way radio behind your normal radio. than your ready to freak your friend old.

Wake your friend up by running down the hall shouting theres a nuclear war. once he wakes up take him to the TV and say that all the channels had been cut off line. then take him to the radio. have a other friend talk through the two way radio and make up radio warning system or something to that effect. If it works your other friend that your fooled will freak out. If you have a basement run him to it then lock the door behind him.

the only way that this could possibly could work is if you got your friend super high with hallucinagenic laced weed. even then it would be a long shot.
