This is my Bathroom Reno egg.
Me and my friends had a budget of $500.00 to redo my bathroom. it only had a shower.
Very very rough shape.
As you can tell we used a lot of free help from Children, got to love the lack of child labour laws within a family.
So the first thing we need to do was go to Home depot
Start to rip apart everything
Say Hello To Steve. A friend i had to bribe with 420 and beer to help us out.

I guess we sort of got carried away with the demo and took out a wall.
There was a large mirror the whole lenth of the wall, we wanted to save some money by just cutting away the parts we didn’t want.
That didn’t work so we had fun breaking the whole thing.
next was time to put up new drywall, and flooring
For the plumbing we called in a pro, this was half of our budget but we didn’t want to fuck with anything like this, I could live with crapy drywall but when it comes to plumbing and wires I will fork out the cash
We used lots of kids, they are cheap and most of the time do what they are told.
Next we had to put everything back together.
We used the same toilet and sink. Thought we would have enough money to get a new sink but we didn’t. The bathtub we got was old and the most gross yellow colour however it was FREE that’s right free. So we really couldn’t complain

Very small budget.
We barterd, and traded, to get what we needed for the reno, the only thing we payed full price for was the lumber needed for the new floor and the special drywall you use in bathrooms and kitchens.
Our work isn’t the best, but i now have a working bathroom with a tub, which i didn’t have before.
Considering how poor we are, and how little knowledge we have with reno’s we had so much fun.

Oct 15, 2007 8:46 am - wtf is reno? you sure you didnt mean renew? reno isnt like redo. redo sounds like renew. and its re do anyway. you had bad grammar and spelling but i hate people who bitch too much about that unless its seriously unreadable so ill just to 4*. and btw what is this exploration or how to? it doesnt say how to do anything and its just like the same pictures different people

M ybe renovation hasn’t been shortened for a reason - because "reno" sounds stupid.
