I am aware of what this sounds like just from the title, but it is a good story. It is also true.
Needs:
-Access to a television set
-Way too much spare time
-The year 1999, on December 31st

-And a gullible family
What to do:
Step 1
As you sit at you computer, chatting because you are really into family ordeals, you look down at the clock and notice that there is about fifteen minutes until it will be midnight MST.
Step 2
Shut down the computer appropriately, you wouldn’t want anything hazardous to happen to it.
Step 3
Make sure your family is firmly rooted in front of the television set.
Step 4
Walk down the hall of your double wide trailer home to your bedroom, that your mother decided to give you even though it had access to the circuit breaker for the whole house, because the other room had a bigger closet, and it own bathroom.
Step 5
Sit in your room, doing any activity of your choice, wait.
Step 6
As soon as you hear the countdown start open your circuit breaker and find the master switch to the house. (the reason you wait for the countdown is because some one has not applied wd40 to it in 3 years so you need noise.)
Step 7
As soon as they get to the number two on the countdown, flip the switch.

Btw i have power surges everytime i turn on something that takes high power because of the safety switch, so i dont even need to go outside to the electric panel thing?
Oct 18, 2007 12:32 pm - what I did is I went to the circuit breaker which was in my room, and I turned off all of the power to usher in the new millennium. It was great fun.
Yeah, I know, but sadly I didn’t know about RE then, even if it was up and running... Also, I didn’t think of the prank until it was about fifteen minutes until midnight MTS.
