Two friends and I decided one night that it would be "swell" to climb on top of the nearby middle school and just check it out. Keep in mind that we live in the subarbs and you get cops called on you for every little thing. We found three different ways up, and just walked around going to every wing and rooftop. We came back a few days later to launch a rocket engine off the highest roof. The Gym roof (which was the highest) was on a separated portion as per the other roofs. So we had to use a more difficult way to get up the first roof and then climb a 15-20 foot ladder up to the gym rooftop. There we set up the rocket engine, but the batteries were underpowered. We had a friend, who lives nearby, in the nearby field who went to get batteries and passed them up on the lower part of the roof. These however were also underpowered. We were about to leave when the friend in the field called my cell phone and told me 2 cop cars just pulled into the parking lot. They talked for a few minutes and then slowly pulled out watching our general vicinity. Us three however were face down on the rooftop getting updates from my friend in the field. Then the leading cop car speed off while the second one slowly followed. They both left and we felt it was time to come down. We plan to go back when we get new batteries.
P.S. My friend in the field brought along some of his wasted friends for the rocket show, but all they wanted me to do was open and close my cell phone so they see the light.
