[Background]

A couple months back, a couple friends of mine came across a boarded up office building at the intersection of two major highways. We went there and unscrewed the boards to the front door. After that we went back again, but this time someone had reattached the boards we had removed to get through. The building is 3 stories tall, and situated in a way so that its very hard to see anyone in or around it (picture 1).

[Story]

This time we went back with a camera. We set out from a friends house on the walk there. The walk took us about 1.5 hours. When we got there we found the front entrance boarded up again, and this time sealed with foam. The foam however was not a problem, as it did not touch the board we used to get into the building (pictures 2 & 3). In the main area there was random trash piled up from the innards of the building (picture 4). At the opposite end of the building from where we got in there was another, boarded up, entrance (picture 5). The building was in good condition because it was mostly steel and concrete, however the ceiling panels and sheetrock, were not (picture 6). Inside there were several rooms and several bathrooms (picture 7). There was one room, which stood out, because it was built into the actual building (as oppose to cubicles), and had a glass door to it. The glass has since been broken, but it was not broken the first time we had come by (picture 8). Inside there was an elevator, but that was out of order so we took the stairs (pictures 9 & 10). The door to the stairwell since our last visit had been screwed shut (picture 11). It really made no sense since the screws in the plywood in the front hadn’t stopped us from entering. After unscrewing the door, we ascended. Each floor had its own bathrooms, but the bathrooms on the third floor were a bit worse than the others (picture 15). On the third floor, we found a ladder up to the roof. We opened the hatch and climbed up (picture 20). From the roof, we could see the entire highway, the brightly lit mall, and way off in the distance we could see New York City (even though you can see New York from basically everywhere in North Jersey)(picture 21).
