How To Make Your Own Fire Stix!
Supplies:
1x 60-70 cm. long, 1.75cm. diameter piping (Aluminum is best.
4x 2 cm. long self tapping screws.
4x screw-cups, to fit above screws.
2x pieces of wicking (wider the better)
1x skateboard grip tape
Access to a Hacksaw.
Access to electric drill.
Instructions:
Step 1:
Cut your pole length using the hacksaw. then, mark some crosses, using the hacksaw, where the screws will go. there should be two on each end.
Step 2:
Put the drill bit right in the center of the crosses. Drill two holes at each end of the pole.
Step 3:
Wrap about three layers of the wicking around the pole on one end. Let a little overhang the end because it will shrink. Put a tight rubberband over it to hold it.
Step 4:
Use a screwdriver to screw through the wicking into the holes you previously made. this will take a few tries make sure the cups are on the screws. following remove the rubberband.
Step 5:
Repeat step 4 on opposite end.
Step 6:
Now, cut your grip tape into small pieces that fit aruond the pole.
Step 7:
Now find some neoprene coated hand sticks and you are ready to go.
