In this egg I’m showing you how to do this with photoshop 7.1 so if something is different on your comp then tough luck...
1. go to FILE > NEW
2. for the size you can make it as big as you want but I’m using width=5 hight=2 (inches)
3. on the left side toolbar, where the two colors are, change them two the two colors that you want for your background.( I would take a screenie but it disapears everytime I click on my screen shotter)
4. Go up to FILTER > RENDER > and select "Clouds"
5. Your background will now kinda look cool but this isn’t as good as it’s gona get...
6. Go to FILTER > TEXTURE > and select "Patchwork"
7. It should now have a bunch of little tiny blocks all over it... Still cool, but were going for realy cool...
8. Go to FILTER > BLUR > and select "Radial Blur", now when the little window pops up, make sure it is set to "Zoom" not "Radial" and set it to 60 and hit OK
9. Now we have a pretty cool looking background... Lets push it one more step...
10. Go to FILTER > STYLIZE > and select "Find Edges"
11. Now it will look all like and shit but kinda cool... but this isn’t it... Theres just one comand that you need to do, Press "Control + i"
Oct 25, 2007 10:59 am - yea sry about the pics guys... I am on a mac and for some reson everytime I try to take a screen shot it disapeared. I’ll try to take some and post some...
Oct 27, 2007 12:33 am - way to improve this is... 2 for effort, but really, after the patchwork, you should duplicate the layer, and then do the radial with the find edges. invert colors, and change the layer to pin light. then duplicate that layer and change the properties to linear dodge.
