Story-Ok, so I was at school the other day and it was close to this girl’s birthday. (We fancy each other.) I needed a birthday present and she wanted something cool, not as in clothes but something she can have around. I happened to have my EX-acto blade with me.
On the bus ride (which was old) home, I thought that I’ll make her a cool belt which is made of the seatbelt in which was on the bus seats. So this is my egg.
I cut the belt part itself. Try to cut it near the edge of the seat cause, the close the cut, the more longer your belt will be. By the way, If you are a bit large this might be a bit hard for you, but ad some other fleather like material.
Iron the belt part out so it’s all clean unlike this part.
This is one of my ends of the belt we will see this later on.
This is kinda what the belt will look like when it’s done.
Check the difference out. The bottom one was a bad cut. we will now make it look good.
We could use the bad cut one side but this side is better.
This is the bad side. But we will cut the part off now.
Make the part straight with a straight edge. Use a marker to mark the edge.
Draw as so.
Cut like so. But it the end I got tired and cheated with the scissors. You all should too.
This is the end of the first part. It’s long but it’s step by step. So don’t argue.
part 2
Now we will solder the parts together but just using the hot metal thing. You could use the soldering iron metal but it doesn’t matter. You can also just sew the parts together. I just sewed it up together for now.
Also btw, we are now going to put these edges together to form one
Use your sewing skills for this
Part 3
Now your just about done. Just clean and use. The thing is the clicking part is too big for the belt holes on your jeans so sandpaper this top part off. If it fits just use end as for it to go thought your jeans.
clean it with water, soap, w/e you have that make things smell nice and clean.
This part is a bit dirty so, I used the wet soapy paper towel method.
All clean. Also, I didn’t but you could put it in hot water to remove bacteria or you can iron the belt part. Either way, all you need is to get it clean.
There you go. A nice belt for gifts or to look ghetto. You didn’t use money and now Stephanie has a nice little present.
Also, don’t get caught cutting it. You will get into serious trouble. The bus driver will get pissed, then the bus company gets pissed, then your school gets pissed by the company and you get suspended and you will get disowned by your family. Yeah, life sucks.
Just be careful of the blade. You can cut yourself badly.
Oc 27, 2007 8:30 am - i guess the point of this egg is so you dont have to spend any money, but you could just buy a seatbelt belt.
and secondly just a tip, instead of soldering you should over lap each piece of fabric about 3 inches, and then sew each piece to the other. it’ll form a tighter seal with itself.
anyways its a good egg 5* i jut thought id give you that tip.
Oct 27, 2007 11:41 am - to TheSecretMexican: Yeah some busses do have seat belts here in the U.S. Infact my (high)school&rsqu ;s bus just recently started getting seatbelts. But only on the front half of the bus... Its weird.
"Story-Ok, so I was at school the other day and it was close to this girl’s birthday. (We fancy each other.)"
that very sentence and the title of this egg do not go together well, at all... the info you have given is- cut up a bus seatbelt and sew it together and wash it. (because once you know it’s clean, it is ok to use a seatbelt to hold up your jeans)
idea, original... but what the fuck! if i wrote an egg about using a small bowl as a hat i wouldnt get a fucking 5*
work, you’ve done a lot here which makes this a shame...
pictures, yea... the same.
1*.. sorry. but, please

Oct 27, 2007 8:55 pm - I always liked to connect seat belts from opposite sides of the aisle. Once, a fat girl waddled sideways down the aisle, tripped over the seat belt, and made a THUD when she fell on her face. I was able to unfasten the belts from their mounts on the floor. The seat belt requirement was lifted shortly after, and they were removed from all buses at that time.
