Ok guys today I am going to show you how to back up your PSP umd’s onto your memory card or to your computer. I did not write this program so the credit go to the programmer/s.
Once you have all these things unpack the PSP Filer to your desktop for convenience.
So once it you have it there open it up the folder and you should see this.
Now copy Filer and Kernel 3
Now connect your PSP to your computer and go to PSP/GAME/ and paste Filer and Kernel 3 into the folder.
Now disconnect your PSP from the computer. Now on your psp go to the game folder and open up psp filer ver 4.1 not psp filer ver 4.1 Kernel3.00.
After it opens it will ask you to chose you language. Scroll to your selection and press |Square| and you should be at a screen like this.
Now put your UMD that you want to copy in and press |Start|. You should have switched to the UMD menu like this
Now press |Triangle| then |R Trigger| and it will ask you what you want to name it, name it as you like and go to Enter and press |Circle|.
It will now be ripping the game into the MSO/ISO folder and if there isn’t that folder it will create one. When it’s done press |X| and exit the program. (Press |Home| then select |Yes|.
You now have the game backed up in its raw format. Now for me they either show up as a .file or winrar folder but It doesn’t matter just save the file on your computer and place it on the MSO/ISO folder when you want to play it or just leave it there on the PSP.
Now if you want to change the Game backup into an ISO so you can compress it into a CSO you will need the full version of Magic ISO unless the game backup is under 300mb because that is the limit the trial version has for any file conversions.
So next time you go to your friends with a psp ask to see his Umd’s so you can back them up or you can just back up your games so you don’t have to take around the Umd’s when you want to play them. Leave any questions in the comments and post if you rate. Enjoy
