I was inspired to make this egg when I was talking to someone who has to pay 7 Australian Dollars for a Small 7 shot roman candle.
Yes thats right.
Bitches like to fill the tube only half way.
Might have something to do with safety, meh.
Well heres a secret for RE.
They leave a few inches of empty tube on the bottom, but they quite often run teh fuse all the way out the bottom.
If its hard for you to get fireworks, and you need extra fuse for shit, but you don’t want to tear up that firework you payed 5 bucks for at the chinese shop, heres some trix.
You need:
roman candles
Scissors
Knife
Roman candles like...
Break it, a few inches from the bottom...
Pull that excess tube off...
You can stop here, and cut that fuse out or keep going until you see the plug (don’t cut into that else you will fuck up the fireworks)
Just cut it with a sharp knife...
Fuse I got WITHOUT fucking up the fireworks...
(that long on is from a 120 shot)
Fireworks. =D...
Little Extra..
If you somehow fuck up a roman candle, and its damaged beyond possible repair, you may want to salvage the stars and lifting charges inside..
Too bad the fuckers put saw dust in between each charge to stop it from all igniting at once..
When you open it, the stuff all mixes together.
The powder and sawdust is all about the same size, so mesh doesn’t work.
Pour the sawdust gunpowder into a small container, a lynx/axe deodorant lid works perfectly.
Gently blow into the lid. The sawdust is a lot lighter than the gunpowder, and gets caught in the little spiral of air you are creating by blowing into the cylindrical container. It will be blown out and drift into the air (do it outside)
Keep shaking the container gently to bring more sawdust to the surface to get blown away.
Now you have gunpowder that (still has a tiny bit of sawdust in it) but it works just as good as un-sawdusty gunpowder.
The stars are easy to pick off the top.
Have fun, try not to blow your hand off by making destructive shit out of the powder.

Nov 06, 2007 11:59 am - thats cool, we dont get roman candles or cherry bombs cause the stores where i live are really strict and plus they dont sell them here
Nov 06, 2007 3:26 pm - omfg...why do all of you pay SO MUCH for fireworks?!?!?
I can get a 250 of bottle rockets fer 4 or 5 dollars and a 6 pack of roman candles like 8 shot for around 5 dollars.
Nov 06, 2007 3:51 pm - I live in a state with stupid fireworks laws, nothing that explodes, shoots into the air or anything like that. All I can get are fountains (which are OK) and spinners. Got to pay my local chinatown a visit...
Nov 06, 2007 6:05 pm - Well I live in a Florida...they don’t allow anything that shoots up or explodes either but Alabama isn’t far from where I live so I simply go up there and buy a small store out for the 4th
