This is my first egg by the way
Out south of hustling small railroad town, is our beloved St. Petes church, where a once small town was at. There is a church, (still in fine use) a hall(for proms and partys) rectory(Home for visiting clergymen)a garage(Self explanatory) and and old school house.
So during a hog roast, I few friends and I though it would be interesting to take a tour of the abondened school house where the contryfolk of the 50’s and 60’s came to be educated. The windows are all shattered or cracked from kids testing there best stone chuckin skills. Now for the good part.
There are two enterances, the first one, you walk in, is a sotraged room with all sorts of cra cluttered from magazines to boxes, and a trap door to the basement, which is nailed unfortunately. oing through you get up a small set of stairs into the first classroom, with original pictures in colored chalk of various stuff. Nothing of any school stuff in it though. Going straight again, you get to a hallway(sort of), to the left, a sink, and a instruction guide for first aid, an a flight of stairs going to the basement(Il get to there later), taking a right, in the hall, on the left is the student entrance to the builing, to the right, a flight of stairs going up to the living area for the nuns. Going straight to the right is the second and last classroom, which used to be a storage room full of videos about sewing, and ofcourse, drawings in color on the chalkboards, going straight to the right, is another small highway, which leads to the entrance described, and to the first classroom.
To the nuns living spot, climbing the green shag carpeted stairs, you end into a split hallway with doors to different rooms, going straight from the stairs is the bathroom, nothing much in there but a tub and a sink, goin to the right, a mini hallway, to the left, is a kitchen, there is all the neccisities of the early times in there, wihout a fridge and a stove, but it has a high voltage outlet. Going straight in the kitchen is the high deck, not an ideal spot for a good ol rock fight, going back, wlking straight, is too rooms, cluttered from old toys from when a famil stayed there, take a right, the phone area, and more rooms, all are about the same, another notable spot in the room is a ripped out wall socket(outlet) wih black scortch marks on both sides n an even fashion.
No to the basement. Walking down the stairs you enter the bioler room, on the cielings are those old type fire extinguishers filled with those chemicals, not worth breaking, to the left, a storage room, we didnt have flashlights and obviously to electricity was in the house. In the inside, all we could see was a white washington apple box and a few shelves. From the foot of the stairs again, going straight, was a laundry or utility room,(I think) complete with a wash tub, a bunch of electrical boexes and such, and another door to a closet, though we really couldnt see inside and were kinda freaked out and wanted to leave it. remember the trap door previously mentioned, the door to where it leads is in the washroom we were just in, kinda obvous to tell judging where we were out. So we left the stairs and left the house.
Us folk out here dont have the technology of digital cameras readily availible and we wouldnt use that disposable crap out here. thanks for reading, and if you didnt like it, well thats just your opinion. |
