If you like music chances are you have some old vinyl records sitting around that you haven’t listened to for ages. Well I am going to teach you how to turn a vinyl into a cool looking decorative bowl. It is very simple and pretty much free as long as you have a record. Records can be bought for a quarter or fifty cents at a garage sale. Just make sure you don’t use a Led Zeppelin record or a Ramones record or any other good band.

Equipment :A vinyl record, A stove, An oven safe bowl and a cookie sheet or pizza pan

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2
Place your oven safe bowl upside down in the middle of the cookie pan; place the record on top of the bowl.

Step 4
Place in the oven for 5 minutes

Step 5
When you take it out of the oven it will be abit hot , now all you have to do is to flip the bowl over and mold the record on the inside of the oven safe bowl. It takes maybe one minute to cool.

Finished Bowl

Other Ideas :
Try making a bowl with a 7 inch EP vinyl.

For those of you who don’t know what that is, they are the smaller records that singles were released on. These only have 2 songs.

I wonder if you can do this with a CD and a plastic bowl in the microwave. Someone try it and post pics, I’m too lazy.

Yea, I’ve heard of this before too.

But to everyone who is just rating zero because, "OMG, somewhere else on the WORLD wide web there is something similar to it!"

So what if someone else thought of this first!! He did it himself, he has pictures taken by him, and he took the time to type it all up. (Not to mention he used proper grammar and spelling)

5* on this and your profile. Good job on the information egg.

well hacked and Alle... yeah it might be somewhere else on the internet...but is it on RE?! NO it’s not! Why the fuck should someone have to go to another site to figure out how to make something cool and useful? They shouldn’t...so when someone posts an egg that is NOWHERE to be found on RE... it should get 5*s whether or not it is in the extensive archives of some other site that most RE members will NEVER see. Thank you I rest my case.
