Smoke Grenade
The finished product, looks pretty deadly.
What’s up? I’m gonna teach you how to make your own smoke grenade. I’m not gonna go into detail on how to make the smoke grenade mixture itself, just the system to light it as there are plenty of eggs on how to do it, and I don’t wanna get flamed.
Basically, you get Potassium Nitrate (Saltpeter/KN03) and mix it at the 60:40 ratio with some sugar in a pot at a low temperature. Constantly stir it until it turns into a peanut-butter looking mixture. Then empty it into a mold, plop in a fuse, and light it. ***THIS IS NOT teaching you how to make it, just the general idea. Look up an egg on smoke bombs. Anyways, heres how to make a simple grenade.
You’re going to need some simple supplies to make this. Matches, a paper clip, scissors, tape, a drinking straw, and an elastic. (You don’t need the paper roll, unless you use it for a mold for the bomb, but I suggest you do.)
Ok, grind up the match heads with your scissors. You need them fairly small.
Cut a 1-inch section off of the straw. Secure an end by stuffing it with tissue, fill it with match heads, and secure the other end. (Bad picture. =[)
Then, add a ring of matches around the straw. Make sure they go around it, and are secure with tape.
Cut the strikers off the sides of the matches. I used a huge box, so I used one side and cut it in half.
Take your paper clip, and bend it into a triangle, or circle depending on the size. I had a small one, so i had to bend it into a triangle and tape it. If its a big one, bend it around a few times at the bottom to secure it. If not, wrap around it with tape 3-4 times.
Secure the strikers to the ring, both facing in-ward. Make sure this is TIGHT.
Secure both on with an elastic band REALLY TIGHT.
Random picture of siamese matches, pointless but I found it somewhat funny.
So yea, thats it. I hope you enjoyed it. The result is amazing. You can re-use the strikers, just gotta make the match fuse again. If you guys want, I’ll make a smoke-bomb guide but I don’t think it’s necessary. Sorry the pictures are so huge. :/ |

Oh yea. Forgot to mention, stick this into your smoke bomb mix before it hardens. (Pin-side facing up). Then just pull the pin out and it’ll light. If you rate it down, comment please. |

the kno3 and sugar smokebomb has been on here forever.... adding a little iron oxide (rust) greatly increases the burn rate , and small amounts of aluminum flake give the flame a brilliant white color |

Its obvious he actually did it himself and he took his own pictures, so technically he went through the entire thing himself. Not to mention, its not a half bad egg, in fact its pretty good. Yes, I have already done something like this, and so has a bunch of other people on RE, but Ninja actually put it in an egg. Yea, there are other fuses and stuff like this, but nothing exact.
It’s not like he highlighted, right clicked and copy pasted. Then it would be deserving of a zero.
Also, the fact that he didn’t type like a retard with improper grammar and spelling makes it worth at least 1 star. |
