I guess I\\’ll start off by saying that i worked at Walmart for about 3 months, and ironically, they teach every employee about their security procedures.
Always remember one thing when doing this:
You can not be arrested for attempted theft. if you dont leave the store with it, or open it, its not illegal.
step1 walk in through the left or right door. (BE SURE TO WALK OUT OF THE OPPOSITE DOOR WHEN YOU LEAVE)
step2 bring the door greeter something that you have previously purchased from the store, and tell them you need to make a return. they will give you a pink sticker and tell you to walk over to customer service.
step3 act like your heading that way, but dont let anyone from customer service see you. (other employees are ok, just not customer service)
find the item you want, peel off the pink sticker they gave you, and put it on the thing you want.
note: make sure you dont use anything from electronics, unless you want that item. Any electronics returns must be done with a receipt.
step4 walk over to customer service and say you want your money back. they WILL ask for a receipt, just tell them you dont have one. if they say you need a receipt, just say, "ok, I’ll come back tomorrow." and leave the store with the stuff. (out the opposite side of the store. the reason for this is when the door greeter sees you with a set of $100 drills, they will question you. lol)
you can do this a couple times, but remember, they may get suspicious when you try to return things all the time. not to mention the few cameras that ARE ON are in electronics.
hope this was helpful, and if there are any problems, just ask! :) |

 | N v 29, 2007 12:10 am - Ok, I don’t agree with the stealing, but it is a pretty good idea...
3* I guess. |

 | Nov 29, 2007 12:35 am - 5* good shit |

 | Nov 29, 2007 1:19 am - I gave you 5 stars because you explained this method perfectly.
However, a deterrent has been developed: in post-modern Wal-Marts (any facility with touch screen registers at customer service) you have to show them your driver’s license if you don’t have a receipt. They look up your driver’s license number and you can’t make more than 3 returns without a receipt. That’s still 297 bucks if you play your cards right.
BTW you can’t do a return without a receipt on anything exceeding $100 dollars, I believe. But don’t hold me to that!
Half-returning is a great method against modern impediments. |

 | Nov 29, 2007 8:28 am - I like this idea! And I’ve never heard of it before. well explained, too.
Nice big shiny 5***** |

 | Nov 29, 2007 12:14 pm - "You can not be arrested for attempted theft. if you dont leave the store with it, or open it, its not illegal."
^This isn’t true in all states.^
For that, and the fact that this is an old scam, 3. |

 | Nov 29, 2007 1:08 pm - haha i almost accidently clicked 0* but i gave you a 5* dont worry |

 | Nov 29, 2007 1:08 pm - you had to become an employee and them teach you this to figure it out? I thought up this one when I was 13 or 14. My mom was the dept. manager of Electronics for 10 years.
either way it works but 3*s |

 | Nov 29, 2007 3:28 pm - nice
5* |

 | Nov 29, 2007 5:44 pm - Sweet, I love when employees turn on their stores. I will definitely be using this in the near future. 5 stars |

 | Nov 29, 2007 7:36 pm - *5 clever... ive heard of other ones like this, you just go in with a rather fresh receipt from the parking lot, you go in and say you want to return it but you could’ent find it, im not sure what to do after this, but i heard it on some t.v. show where they tell you this stuff. i dont think it works anymore though. anyway, good way to steal from the evil empire known only as wal-mart... |
| Nov 29, 2007 8:17 pm - 0*, theft egg. |

 | Nov 29, 2007 11:44 pm - Theft Eggs are pretty gay, But this idea seems pretty good ill give you a 4* |

 | Dec 01, 2007 6:33 am - I dont like being a theif, but I like traitors. |

 | Dec 02, 2007 12:53 pm - Bullshit, utter bullshit.
Yeah, the egg may work, but the idea of walking out with a $100 drill set from the store is pretty ironic. If your local school library can afford to put a magnetic strip onto a book valued at five bucks, why wouldn’t a huge store like Wal-Mart have one on their items? Dude, you’d set off the buzzer. Even with the pink sticker, he’ll wonder why it didn’t set it off when you walked in. oh, he must’ve exchanged it.
2, for trying. |

 | Dec 02, 2007 3:23 pm - 3*s |

 | Dec 02, 2007 7:49 pm - i gave you a five because stealing is hurtful and hurting people is cool, but wont the security buzzers set it off (bar code) when you walk out of the door? if it does, i hear you can rub a magnet on the bar code (rub hard) to deactivate this is it true? |

First of all, almost all items in hardware dont set off the buzzers, (yes, even the drill sets.) large bulky items generally dont set off the alarms. a lot of the plasma screen tvs dont set it off either.
and secondly, the purple sticker has no effect on the alarm. the purple sticker is a mark to show that you brought the item into the store. so provided you walk out the other side, the greeter will see the sticker, and let you leave. | |
