Okay so many people have this one fear that makes it impossible for them to take part in fun activities such as base jumping and sky diving. I myself have dealt with friends who weren’t pussies but in fact had a fear in heights. I came to the conclusion that their might be RE members who would love to take on such challenges but could only do so if they got past there fear of heights.
Steps To Overcoming Acrophobia
1) The first thing for someone who is afraid of heights to do is test just how HIGH they consider scary. I have known people who think the top of a
mountain isn’t high at all but once they get onto the plane ready to jump, they suddenly realize that a plane is way too high up for them so the first step is to find out what you consider is scary to be that high.
2) The next step is to not jump right up to the plane but start with something that you consider scary but not impossible. For instance if you have the most common Acrophobia then you are scared when you get to really high places like mountains or being high in a plane so if this is you then just try going out your window and looking down. At first you will think well this is easy but this is the moment you should realize just HOW you can get over the fear of heights. You are probably thinking that there is nothing that can go wrong when you are standing on your roof and therefore are not scared. THIS is the same thought process you should have when you go to step 3.
3) Step 3 is taking on a higher challenge now that you have figured out that heights can be okay as long as you think nothing can go wrong (if your roof doesn’t work try something even shorter like a ladder then go on to the roof) Something that I recommend using for step 3 is a chairlift or if you live in a warmer level climate a tall building. Those are just two things you can use but I am just trying to give you the height in which you should try to concur in step 3. Once you get to the top of you’re picked out place start by going back to that thought process you had in step 2 how nothing can go wrong. Something that got one of my friends to finally try roller coasters was when I explained to him that millions of people go on this every day and very rarely do they get injured and he finally jumped onto the car. So what I am trying to say is try to think about how many people have done the task that you want to do I.E. BASE jump. After you have got passed this height you now should be ready to take on any height you can imagine. The sky is your limit.
Hope this helps all you daredevils out there try something new!

That’s a similar motto I expressed in this egg here,
http://www.rotteneg s.com/r3/show/se/181203.ht l It’s an egg that explains a bit about falling from high heights, should help a bit for those who might want to know what happens if you DO fall and you weren’t ready for it. That, by the way, is something I think is worth practicing as well as getting used to high heights.

How would you deal with somebody like that?
