In this egg are instructions on how to make a prank land mine. It is not very powerful, but it still can hurt people. Anything you choose to do with this information is not my responsibility.
Materials:
-Altoids Tin
-Matches
-Caps (the kind that are for those 8 shooter cap guns)
-Small nail (about an inch long)
-Hammer
-Snaps (these are little white balls that you throw on the ground and they make a loud noise.)*Optional*
Prepping the materials:
First, cut the ring of caps so they are all separated. Then, get your matches. The more there are, the better the explosion. Shave the tips off of the matches so you get a lot of that powder.
Procedure:
Put the nail through the cover of the Altoids Tin. Make sure that it is about half way through. Then, take one of the caps and GENTLY put it on the tip of the nail. Put the match powder, and snaps, and the rest of the caps into the tin. Put the cover back on. Put a layer of tape around the edge of the tin. You’re all set!
How it works:
When someone puts pressure on the tin, the nail will push against the cap, which makes a loud noise and a spark. The spark will ignite the match powder, and the match powder will flare up, setting off the other caps and the snaps. The energy released from all of those igniting at the same time will cause the tin to explode.
Where to get materials:
Matches - You can get these at ANY store that sells firewood. Grocery stores, camping stores, etc.
Caps - I got mine at the local dollar store, but you can basically get them at any store that sells toys.
Snaps - These can be found in a lot of places. I got mine from Chinatown, but they are sold in Target, Wal-Mart, and a few other places.
Nail and Hammer - Hardware store, drugstore, and where that has home improvement sections.
Altoids Tin - ANY store that has candy. Altoids are quite popular.

Hey pretty good idea, but using a cap from a cap gun is not always reliable. O and did u try this? cause if you did you should not have a leg. lol

Sorry about not having the pictures. I didn’t know how. :p. By the way, snaps do set off with fire, they just take a while. The initial heat from the blast provides enough fire to make them explode. I did try this, and about 8/10 of the time it works. |

okay, but I cant see how that would make a cap go off, because you can se ein a capgun that the hammer hits the cap quite hard and the caps still dont always go off. I gave it a 3 for the explosive content |
