Jun 25, 2008 1:24 am - why is my mini spud gun working i no this is my 2nd blog of needing help but it fucking pisses me off when you take the time and spend the money to make somthink and it doesn’t work
so to the point i made a mini spud gun a little like this only with a larger chamber it was some sort of make up remover maybe 7cm long and not shore on diamiter but sort of large i used a sparker out of one of these giant match lighters and used pins for the conducter or wotever the things that connect to the sparker and go in side the barrel it sparked i had a barrel it was a pen tube i used ronson lighter refill for my prepellent and it still didnt work the only thing i did different was for the butane the nozzel is realy hard to push down it needs to be pushing against somthing so i made a hole so the nozzel gets stuck and pushes down wich realeses the gas any help????????? would be very appreciated
Jun 25, 2008 6:16 am - Most often with the mini spud guns, you wind up putting too much fuel in. It’s a very small chamber, so you only need a very small amount of fuel. Keep trying less and less. Also air out the chamber well between attempts, and shake the gun just before firing. Butane is heavier than air, and unless you shake it,it won’t burn right.
I’m glad you’re asking these questions here rather than the forums. You’d get a lot of flack there. Also, it’s good to see someone actually building these eggs! Don’t give up! :-)

Jun 16, 2008 1:40 am - help me with FL’s C02 gun ok i tryd to make RL\\’s CO2 gun the one that uses a bike refill gun but ive got a few questions before i go and screw it up first one when you have fineshed the baroll and its just pipe slingshot tubing and pipe then you go to wrap tape around all off it and jam a pvc tube other that tape i was just wundering do you tape othe the slingshot tubing when your doing that and do you have to even do it in the first place?????? please tell me you understand wot im saying because i really need this problem sorted out!!!!
Ju 19, 2008 2:49 am - so u tape the hell out of it but wont it put to much presure on the tubing and the bbs wont be able to blast out by the way im realy surprised you guys actully replied that fast and are prety freindly and helpful because lets face it thers sum nuts on this website oh and how do you post a link?????
J n 21, 2008 9:17 pm - oh and do you think i could just tape around the rubber tubing like 7 times (thats how much it tells you to do) and put shit loads around the two ends of the barrel then push it into a pvc pipe to keep it strong
Jun 22, 2008 1:25 am - I haven’t made it myself. I do, however remember chatting with FL about it right after he posted the egg...
I think as long as the tape at the end increases the diameter enough to hold it in the nozzle, it’s good. Also, you’re going to have to experiment a little with the tape on the rubber hose. The amount of layers depends on how tight you make it. Also, for accuracy, I’d build up tape where the rubber hose and the narrower metal tube meet. That will keep the barrel straight in the PVC tube.
un 23, 2008 12:33 am - ok but what im asking is when you want to hold it in the tube you tape round the pipe to increase the duamiter but not the rubber tubing is that correct
Jun 24, 2008 11:17 pm - ok 1 last question lets just say that im up to the point in that photo you put above now i want to put a pvc pipe around the barrel to make it round now of course im going to have to put alot of tape around the barrel so the pvc pipe will squeze on but if i do that should i just put on the metal parts of the barrel and none on where the rubber tubing is because i think that would put to much pressure on the tubing and the bb wouldnt be able to push out
