This egg will be in 2 parts,
1.The Hotel "Hack" 2.Hotel Lights Prank Both have pictures to guide you through.
The Hotel "Hack": Ok, So you have all seen those hotels that have the system near the door where you put in your card, and you can use the electricity and once the card is taken out the electricity is off. I will show you how to "Hack" that system.
1.Walk up to the door and locate the system, its looks something like this:
2. Take the card out, and you should be left with this:
3. Find one of these Service/Shh.. Door knob sign things:
4. Now get the sign and place the corner of it into the system, It should go in with ease:
And the electricity should now be on!
Why don’t you just leave the card in, and what are the uses for this? If your staying with a few people in the hotel, They all might go off to different places and need a card to get back in, so you can use that as a rig for the system. And also if you go somewhere and take the card, you can leave that in the system to keep your room air conditioned and cold when you come back :)
How did you figure this out? You learn a lot of stuff when your isolated in a hotel room and bored, But mainly i was just playing around with the hotel features and found that when you put the card in it pushes back a little leaver type of switch, and when the card is taken out a spring pushes the leaver back and the electricity turns off, so i realized that you can easily use the corner of the door knob sign to push that leaver back.
Hotel Lights Prank: This prank may not work on all hotels, it will only work if you have one of those circular lamps that hang from the roof.
1. Locate a circular lamp that looks like this:
2.You will need to buy a necklace that looks similar to this one, Bead ones should work (I got mine for free from the airport)and i have seen them in shops for 99c, The necklace is labeled on each side, one side is A the other is B:
3.Bring your necklace into the lamp:
4.Hang it over one of the lights support limbs:
5. Thread A through B as seen in the picture:
6.Pull down on A and it should form a knot:
7.The knot should look like this:
8.If it looks like this, its almost completed:
9. From far away it would look like this to someone:
10. But that doesn’t look right, so go inside the lamp, and move the knot of the necklace close to the center (light bulb):
11.NOW it is complete, and should look like this:
How does it work?
You can either leave it On or Off, A unsuspecting victim will walk up to the lamp, and think it is one of those pull ropes that you turn the lamp on and off with they will pull it, and the lamp will fall & smash near them and it will be funny.

How did you figure this out? Someone in my hotel room tied there necklace there because they were bored, and i thought it would make a great prank.

Jan 12, 2008 6:13 pm - i recently visited a hotel where an actual card was needed to turn on the power because the sensor read the magnatized strip on the card but regardless i give you 5*

You use the hotel magnetic card thing to get in,
but if people take it and go somewhere and you are left in the hotel, and dont have a card, you can use the door sign to have electricity.
an 13, 2008 6:35 am - lulz i had the exact same problem when i went to fiji, we were staying in a hotel because our flight arrived at 9’o’clock at night and the last boat to the island we were ment to be staying at. we only had 1 key card and it was hot as hell so 1 of us had to stay in the room to keep the air con on, i missed put on getting drunk and swimming in a nice big pool. :( 5* cos i can keep this in mind if i ever go again which may happen some time next year.
