Blacksmithing
Basics:

tools:
1x 2 lb. ball-pein hammer
1x length of steel
1x forge
1x anvil

Basic Starter:

First when you start smithing the best thing to make is a drive hook. the reason for this is they show you all the basics for later projects.
it demonstrates the following; Finials, points, twists, and of course hooks.pic.1

Later
Steak turners are also very simple to make the can demonstrate the half on half off technique and sheperds hook. pic.2

Now my favorite:
Railroad spike knives the simplest of the knives yet they still can take hours, they often demonstrate the twist in the handle. pic.3

Finials
most commonly found at the end of hooks, they are the little swirl on the end of most drive hooks.

Twists
The spins in the metal, there are doubletwists- which are done all at once but spin opposite directions. And regular twists- just go one direction.

Points
what could this be you ask? well its a point, usually for driving into hard surfaces.

Forge Building

Supplies:
1x firepot
1x blow dryer
Lots x coal
1x length of metal tube

First

Put the blowing end of the dryer into the tube.

Second
Hook the tube to the bottom of your firepot.

third

Make your coal fire in your firepot.
Last
when you need your fire hotter turn on the blowdryer and the air will flow to the fire.
