Here is how to make ballistics gel like on mythbusters.
You will need:
knox gellatin(buy it in publix or target)
water(if you cant find this you should not be alive)
a mold of some type(i use the food saver boxes)
the ratio of water to gelatin is 1/4 cup water for every single package
put all the packages of gellatin you are going to use in a bowl and slowly stir in the water. make sure theres no lumps.put it in the fridge for 2 hours then take it out and put it in a pot on the stove.slowly melt it until it is liquid do not let it go over 130 degrees. wen melted put it in the mold you r going to use. then set it in the fridge for 24 hours.
and there you go
ballistics gell at home
it is the closest thing to skin you can make

Feb 10, 2008 12:25 pm - knox is just plain jello. This is not the same thing as real ballistics gel. You would be better off making "slime".

Feb 11, 2008 8:02 pm - actually just did a little research, and it turns out that you need a special kind of gelatin. 10% bloom gelatin or something like that. This is nothing near that.This deserves a zero
