I lived by a waterpark, wasnt that big of one but o well it was of pretty decent size. Well the owners own tons of stuff and didnt want it anymore so they donated the land to the YMCA people to build another YMCA. Well they tore down the fences around the place and the pools were already empty. This was sweet because i have a goped and they have this lazy river thing that is just a big river and its built like a halfpipe in a big track so i would go driving in there which was really cool. Another cool thing was some of their bigger slides were built on tall towers and they took the slides off and sold them but they hadnt torn down the towers yet so that was awesome going a few hundred feet up in the air overlooking everything without railings and stuff for safety (pretty freaky on a windy day). Probably the coolest thing would be the wave pool and the wave pool room. The wavepool was something like 1.5 million gallons i heard at one time but i dont no about this, might have been more actually. Well there was a huge room behind the wave pool that had all the workings and thats where the water returns for all the slides ended up and was also processed. Well this entire room was like a big water tank and the floors had grating on it so u could see some water under you about 20 feet. That was sorta freaky but there was stairs that went down into the tanks and stuff but we never went totally in there cuz it was way too muddy but i went down the stairs. At this time there wasnt a whole bunch that i could do in there because other areas were locked off by other heavy metal doors with good sized locks on them. Just walking around the huge empty wave pool was something really cool. This pool is massive. In the GPS picture (which isnt on here yet but im going to get it), you can see little rectangles which are houses and stuff and then you see something above them across a street which sort of looks like a funny Y shaped pool. Well thats how big the wave pool was compared to a decent sized house. You can fit a few houses inside of it, but there were bars at the back of the pool that kept people from getting sucked into the workings. These bars probably extended about 11 feet tall and thats not near as deep as the pool was but this was awesome to get to do. Also there was a hill that was pretty high that has slides built into them and it was fun to walk through the tubing and into the pool. Read my next egg on when they tore all this stuff out and turned this place into a YMCA. Its a lot more interesting than this egg.
