The Exploration of a YMCA during construction (Continuation of the abandoned water park)
'This is a picture of the wavepool with a whole ton of rain water in it, those grills go down another 11 feet or so and the normal water line when the pool is full is about another 2 feet above where the grills end.'

Well in my last egg i told about the old waterpark that was about to become YMCA land. Well the only think the YMCA people kept was the wavepool and even then they made the pool only 1 million gallons in size which is .5 to .75 million gallons less than the original pool size from what ive heard. Once the actual structure of the building was built, thats when the fun started. This place is huge, it feels even bigger when its empty and your the only person in the whole place. Something interesting to do was explore the pool rooms and locker rooms. Those were places that no one ever gets to go into after the place is built besides the locker rooms which still you only get to go into one set unless you got some weird problem i dont want to hear about. it was pretty cool checking out the elevator shaft and stuff too. Ok heres one of the more interesting things. After they got the roof up and sealed they cut away an opening and put in a large door that opens straight up. This lead too the roof from the inside. This was pretty sweet because it was pretty high up, but not overly high. There was all sorts of stuff to do on the roof. Something real fun to do was me and my friend would go get some spray paint that was just lyiing on the ground or something and they had ventelation ducting that would just be a hole in the roof for where an airconditioner would go, so we would through a can of spray paint as hard as we could through these openings and they would hit the cement below and make a pretty cool spray paint mark about a foot and a half wide. Also through these holes were metal beams that would have been perfect for attaching a rope to and freefall repel about 50 feet i dunno how high up it was but it was pretty high. But at this time i didnt have any of my gear so i didnt get to do it. Another fun thing to do was the workers would leave the keys in forklifts and platform lifts so we would drive these things around and have fun and the platform lifts were especially fun because of the way you have to drive them. One time me and my friend went all the way up in one of these things and were about to hit the ceiling and we hit the button to let us down and it didnt let us down so my friend crawled down the side of this thing because it has steps built into it incase something like this ever happens and there is a backup switch that we were messing with earlier that would let the lift down. It was a ton of fun playing with the machinery. They also updated the wavepool room a ton and they had all sorts of new plumbing everywhere and out under the parking lot now there is a second big water tank thats im guessing to be a few hundred thousand gallons that helps equal out the pool when it gets low. One time i think there was some mexican that was still there because we saw his truck but didnt ever see or hear him for a while and then we started hearing weird noises like someone with an aircompressor hose blowing down pipes and throughing stuff. I think he was on the roof and we didnt want trouble so we left and came back later when his truck wasnt there. Another time i think an engineer came while were exploring the place, wasnt like he was there when we got there. But he saw us and we ran and since we knew the place really good we went through there and through the wavepool room and out the back door and then we had to run a ways untill we got behind this hill with tall grass. He sorta kept looking for us but later on we came out of the grass and went back to my house a different route so he wouldnt have any clue where i lived. I will add some pictures of this wavepool and junk, im not sure but i think i got some pictures of the inside of this place with my old junky digital camera since i didnt have a good one yet and maybe ill put up a blueprint of the YMCA. Maybe ill get out my new digital camera and go take pictures of the place finished to show the size of this place. Its big! Its also considered to be the most technologicly advanced YMCA in the country and has more big features than most YMCAs do. Now that i got my climbing gear i want to repel off the place but im sure thats going to happen with their 50 pinhole and bullet cameras they have hidden everywhere in this place.
