Ok. I posted a forum discussion earlier about this, but after some searching, I figured it out. I decided to share this with anybody else that may be interested. This game is only like 4 months old and worth playing, especially with increased gore. This is actually really easy to do. Depending on how fast your computer is, you can finish the whole process in less than a half hour.
For anybody who has never played the game and doesn’t know what I am talking about: In the first game, during executions you could see everything in all of its gory goodness. In the second game, though, they have a blurred/faded effect that happens during these executions and it totally ruins the violence. This egg will take off these effects and let you see everything.
Equipment Needed:
1.)A modded Playstation 2 or a way to play modded disks.
2.)A computer with a DVD burner
3.)A blank DVD
4.)ManHunt 2 disk (buy it, rent it, borrow it, steal it, or download the ISO from somewhere)
How To Do It:
1.)Download the 3 programs and the 1 file above
2.)Put the Manhunt 2 disk into your computer’s DVD drive and copy the whole disk to your desktop. Open the folder containing all the files you just copied from the disk. Find the folder called GLOBAL. Copy the LVLSETUP.INI file that you downloaded into this directory. It will ask if you want to overwrite, select YES.
3.)Open CD/DVD Generator and select NEW PROJECT then DVD ROM MASTER DISK
4.)Leave the programming running and then open the folder with the Manhunt 2 files that you just copied to your computer.
5.)Drag the files from that folder into the white space in the CD/DVD Generator window. Make sure they are in the same order as shown: AUDIO, GLOBAL, LEVELS, MOVIES, PS2, SLUS_216.13, SYSTEM.CFG, TEST_FIL
6.)Click on the VOLUME tab. By DISK NAME, enter SLUS 21613. By PRODUCER NAME, enter PLAYSTATION. By LICENSE AREA, select AMERICA
7.)Go to FILE > EXPORT IML FILE. Name the file MANHUNT2UNCUT and click SAVE. Then close this program.
8.)Now open APACHE. Go to FILE > IMPORT IML FILE. Import the MANHUNT2UNCUT file that you just made and then select FILE > BUILD ISO. Watch the status bar (bottom of window) and when it is at 100% you can exit this program. Don’t exit before it is done.
9.)Close APACHE and open DVD DECRYPTER.
10.)Go to MODE > ISO > and select WRITE.
11.)Where it says SOURCE: PLEASE SELECT A FILE. Click on the folder icon and select the MANHUNT2UNCUT.ISO file you just built. Click on the icon with the harddrive and the DVD disk to burn.
12.)Just wait for the DVD to burn.
13.)If you get this error message, just select IGNORE.
And there you have it. Use either Swap magic, or a mod chip, or however you play modded ps2 games and just pop it in.
Have fun playing the game as it was originally intended.
Mar 10, 2008 6:31 pm - i rented the euro version from somewhere. it has all the gore and stuff. but when i was at the part where you break in to some mansion or something idk i just know its like the beginning of the level and you start outisde in a tiny rectangle and go in to some huge building. well anyways the part where you get on the roof and jump to the broken part it won’t let me jump high enough. sucks balls. 5*
