In This egg I will show you how to Disable that annoying "Need your permission to continue-" prompt
And yes I know most people don’t, and wont use Vista but when I bought a new Laptop Vista was preinstalled. So I have come to like it a Bit.
Windows Vista’s User Account Control security feature
is bound to drive any one crazy after awhile of installing and downloading, and configuring your system
Because Vista thinks that It needs to ask you every time you try to do something if you’re sure you want to do that.
First you need to open Control Panel, and in the search box in the upper right corner type "user accounts"
And click the user account icon.
Then you will see at the bottom of the page "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off".
Click it Uncheck the box, and then reboot your computer.
And thats it to getting rid of the prompts.
So I am sure the Microsoft dosent want you to do this . And to prove that after you ignore them and do away with the prompt. There will be a little red X shield icon in your taskbar, yelling at you about the security risk. We will also get rid of that icon.
In the Control Panel again go to the Security Center,
On the left hand side click the
"Change the way Security Center alerts me" and Choose "Dont notify me and don’t display the icon (not recommended)"
May 10, 2008 5:09 pm - Yeah I use Vista and I did figure this out myself after like 5 minutes of searching.
But despite that I’ll give a 3 because you put some effort into this and there are some people who would have never figured this out.
sadly I don’t know that thats possible on a laptop. When I got mine I had a friend try to do that for me and it messed the whole thing up. ?I took it to best buy and lied like a champion, and the replaced it for free.
