Hello RE, long time no egg from Chompy. So I figured it’s about time for a serious egg from me[b]
Inthis egg I will teach you how to easily put songs and pictures onto your PSP, and also that you don’t need the “official” PSP usb cable, and what I use instead.
[b]This is a beginners guide, so if you’re going to bitch and say “OMG I KNEW ALL THIS, don’t waste your time
So, lets get down to business, first something I figured out about the USB cable. Not really that amazing but pretty neat if you don’t want to buy a PSP USB cable, and have this type of cable.
What you need for this
PSP
Any Motorolla USB cable
(I’m not saying Motorolla USB cables are the only ones that work. That’s just what I tested this on)
I myself have a Motorolla RAZR, the USB cable tip that goes into the device looks like this
I also have a PSP Slim
On the top of it, the little USB port looks like this
Now just take your Motorolla USB cable and push it into that USB slot until you hear a little “click”
It will fit in pretty flush, with only a tiny bit of the USB stick showing, as shown below
One you have it all hooked up it will look all nice like this,
NOW, that you have your USB all set up, time to make it recognize your PSP and show you how to put pictures and songs on it. I will show videos and other things in later Eggs
Now, once you have your PSP hooked up to your computer, one the PSP you want to go to >>>
Now press (X) to select the USB connection option on your PSP
Now it may give you a little paragraph about if it does not recognize your USB connection blah blah blah, that looks like this.
Just ignore it and wait it out… If it doesn’t go away after about a minute, go to settings, then settings again and turn off “USB charge”
Now once it is all connected good you’re screen should say “USB MODE”
Now time to start doing some useful stuff….
Once you enter USB MODE on your PSP this is everything that will most likely appear on your computer.
If you get “New Hardware Found” Just close out off all that crap now, Go to your Button/ Menu whatever. And Click “My Computer”
Now once in “My Computer” Click the “Folders” Button on the top tab
This should pop up on the side now…
Now expand all your “removable disc” folders and double click where you have your music on the side folder bar, as for me I have a folder called “MUSIC” on my desktop so I clicked that, now it should open in the big side bar as shown
Now just highlight the song or songs you want and drag them onto the “MUSIC” folder that should have shown up when you expanded your “removable disc” or “PSP” folders
Congratulations, you now have songs on your PSP, proof…
NOW, to get pictures onto your PSP follow these easy steps
Go to Google Images, or any website where there is a picture you want to put onto your PSP.
Now, Right click the picture, and click “Save As”
Now go to your “removable disc” or “PSP” up in the top bar and simply save the picture in your “PICTURES” folder on your PSP, name it and you’re all good.
Now when you’re done putting all the pictures you want on go to the Pictures Section on your PSP then select your memory card, you can now browse through all of your pictures.
When you see one you when select it, press TRIANGLE then set as wallpaper, and there you go.
Thanks for reading, now enjoy some random pictures…

The computer itself is a Windows XP.
But I installed some program a while ago that made it almost all Mac.
And for some reason my START Menu is XBOX 360 themed, from some theme I downloaded a while ago, and it refused to change even after I Un-installed it. |
