Today we are shutting down utilities, we should really start with transportation however aside from knowing how to hack or throwing some spikes into the road I really cant come up with a decent plan for shutting down transportation but if anyone wishes to help with the firesale feel free to send message.
Materials of interest:
Lock,
Chain
Shovel
Rubber gloves and boots
Hammer
Medium powered hunting rifle (optional)

Unfortunately no pics but I’m sure you can figure it out.
As a safety precaution for all the utility shutdowns wear your rubber boots and gloves and don’t do this anywhere near your own home unless you wish to be the person without utilities
First thing were gonna shut down is electricity.
Take a section of chain roughly 5-7ft long and attach the lock to it then hurl it up over the powerlines, more lines require more chain, if you miss then just pick up the chain and retry. The chain must cross 2 lines min to be effective the more lines it crosses the more effective but the longer the chain.
7ft is not long enough for it to touch the lines and the ground so you are pretty much safe, but don’t drag out a 50ft chain and try it.
Its suggested to do this far back in the woods so repair services will take longer to get there. Just don’t park on the side of the road where cops can grab ya as you return from the woods (hints walk)
You can do this in multiple places, do one then toss another a few miles down the road. Repair services will assume everything is working fine until more ppl call asking why there shit hasn’t been fixed and the power company keeps telling them it is
Another option would be taking a hunting rifle and shooting transformers or unmanned PowerStation’s. These are expensive to repair and in the case of PowerStation’s (just the little router stations) these parts usually have to be ordered and can take weeks to arrive so if you destroy one ppl can be fucked for a while.
Telephone: simply cut the wire in the ground, the wire is easy to locate its clearly marked all along the sides of roads for ppl to gladly screw up. Take your shovel and just right out shove it down into the ground to cut the line then go down another 5ft or so and do it again. Pull the cut section up and out of the ground and leave. 30 seconds top I suggest doing it in rural areas, nothin spoils your fun more than nosy neighbors or passing motorists.
Water: same process as telephones but will require more force. Suggest digging down to the pipe then smashing it with the hammer, not worth the time to try and cut with a hacksaw or sorts. Another option for no digging is to break the pipe at the meter this is usually just a simple rectangle black box sitting at ground level. Lid is removable and you can smash the pipe, the downside is the meterbox is usually right outside people’s houses.
Fiber optics: these are marked as well and can be cut with shovel, cable and satellite’s can as well but might be less identified and in terms of satellite will be more highrisk as you probably must go onto someone’s property, if there dish is on there house it requires wire cutters or tinsnips to cut the line.
Don’t know any real way to take down the sewer system as I don’t live in the city but if you find a way do it, that’s some cold blooded stinky shit :D
Gas lines: don’t fuck with this less you want to blow up. 1 spark and your fucked
All utilities are clearly marked on the road so people wont accidentally cut them, cutting them on purpose however breaks the delicate protected infrastructure and causes chaos. You can even tell the city your gonna be digging/building and ask for a layout of where the utilities are so you don’t accidentally destroy them.
This, unlike some hacking scenario will work for years and years to come. There’s no quick fix for this and no cost effective one. One good hacker can shut shit down for a day. A dozen pawns with shovels can shut shit down for longer and many times. You cant put steel pipe around all the utilities or build cages over all the electrical lines, its not cost effective thus if you wish to start a firesale don’t play hacker, play analog.
