Hello again RE, after the popularity and amount of people who enjoyed my last PSP egg, I have decided to make a continuation.
This egg will be a bit more complicated than the other, but have a better pay off than just putting pictures and songs onto your PSP.
Note: This egg will contain links to download files, so if you are going to complain about it being a “link egg” please close out now. The links are simply download files and nothing more
Now lets get down to business and tell you what will be demonstrated in this egg…
-I will teach you how to put something called a “portal”
-I will review a couple “portals” and give you download links
-I will show you how to do everything step-by-step.
Right now you’re probably thinking to yourself, “what the hell is a portal and why would I want to put it on my PSP” So, I will start this egg by telling you what a “portal” is.
A portal is a file you download onto your computer and then transfer it to a specific folder on your PSP, once on there you type a certain thing into your web browser bar, and it will take you to the “portal” which will have anything ranging from hundreds of flash games, videos, podcasts, music players, webcams, and endless amounts of other cool applications for your PSP. Most of them will also be themed to look like something when you visit them. The best part is for most of the best parts of the portal you don’t even need to be connected to the internet on your PSP. Note: Portals are 100% legal and require absolutely no modding of your system or use of CFW([b]Custom Firm Ware)
[i]All of the portals below also contain AOL/AIM Instant Messages, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger I think that is pretty neat also.
Now that you have a general idea of what a portal is, I will begin the actual egg.
WHAT YOU NEED _-+-_ A PSP gaming system(I will be using an icy silver slim)
_-+-_ A PSP compatible USB cable
For how to hook your PSP up to your computer and what you can use as an alternate USB cable please refer to my other beginners egg, linked below.

Alright now, before I show you all of the portals and give reviews of them I will first teach you how to put a portal onto your PSP.
The portal I will be using to show you how to install one on your PSP will be the Nintendo Wii PSP portal.
To start you obviously need a file to download, so once you have your file downloaded, hopefully your have a WinRar or any other unzipping program. If you do, once it is installed it will open up the WinRar folder which should look like this…
Just minimize that for now, and make sure your PSP is in USB Mode. Then go to your menu and open up “My Computer” You should see your PSP folder on there somewhere. My computer for instance it is called “Removable Disc E:”
Double click your Removable Disc or whatever it is called on your computer and you should see this…
Double click the “PSP” folder to enter into it, don’t worry if you don’t have the folder called “ROOT” I made that on my own so it won’t be in your PSP files.
Now, once you have double clicked your “PSP” folder even more folders should pop up that look like this, out of all these folders double click the “COMMON” folder to go into it
Also ignore the “THEME” folder I made that also, I might make another egg eventually on how to get themes on your PSP if you enjoy this egg.
Now that your in your “COMMON” folder it should be empty inside, mine is not empty in this screenshot because I already have portals on it. Now open up the WinRar box you minimized earlier. Drag it onto screen so you can see it, and your “COMMON” folder at the same time, as shown below.
Now drag and drop the Wii Folder into your “COMMON” folder from the WinRar pop-up it should load for a little then something that looks like this should pop up to show its loading onto your PSP.
CONGRATULATIONS! You now how the WII Portal on your PSP if you have done all this right and followed my directions. I will now give you a quick review and show you what the portal looks like. At the end of the de5cription I will give you the link and how to activate it on your PSP
If you have a Wii, I’m sure this is a familiar looking screen for you.
Here is the “Main Menu” of the portal. As you can see it has Opera web browser, photos, videos, games and applications pre loaded on it. THESE PORTALS ALSO BARELY TAKE UP ANY SPACE
Link to get the file http://www.savefile.com/files/1296636 scroll down the site a bit and just click download
PSP activation link Once you have followed all the steps to get this program onto your PSP go into your internet browser and type this into the URL bar exactly as it appears

Link to get file http://www.qj.net/Despondence-PSP-Portal-v2-0/pg/49/aid/103667 PSP activation link file:/psp/common/despondence/menu.html I’m not a big fan of this portal it’s kind of cramped, some of the games don’t even work and you can’t even tell what you’re clicking on by looking at the icons. You pretty much have to click them to find out what they are. But it’s a small file so worth a download just to add to your portal collection.
Next Portal
Link to get file http://www.qj.net/Yet-another-PSP-portal-Yellow-v1-00/pg/49/aid/98600 PSP activation link file:/psp/common/yellow/home.html As you can see this is a very simple looking portal, but it is actually one of my favorites. It has a couple awesome applications.. Examples: paint, calculator, PSP Tunes, Guitar Tuner, Temperature converter. And that is just a few. It also has a couple awesome games. One of my favorite games out of all the PSP portals this portal holds is a Rob and Big Skating game, which is surprisingly fun… I had a picture of the game loaded on my PSP unfortunately it didn’t transfer from my phone so you will have to check it out yourself.
One of my favorite portals, very unique with a good bit of really fun games, the other cool thing as you can see in the picture above is it has directly downloadable wallpapers in all kinds of categories. I thought that was very cool, also above is an example of one of the videos it came pre-loaded with. It was a funny Mario Flash Video. This is definitely worth downloading onto your PSP.
This is a pretty cool portal with games and applications. I forgot to mention earlier all portals also have game demos with actual games that are out or coming out for PSP. Above I am showing an example that it really does play the flash videos. I was watching “Banana Fingers”  I would say you should download this portal.
This portal is pretty neat, it looks just like an Iphone as you can see above you even have to turn your PSP vertical like an Iphone is. It has a couple good games as you can see above and a lot of the actual Iphone things such as Weather, you put in your zipcode and it give you the weather. Ipod, makes your music player look and operate like an Ipod. Photos, Calculator, Instant messaging and email, and Vipr online. I would say download this, if not so even for the things it comes with but just for the neat look.
last
I can’t find the link for this portal, but that’s ok. It’s not really that good anyways it has nothing special that sticks out and doesn’t even have video. If you download it later though, here is the PSP activation link.

Well, that is the end of my egg. Thanks for reading hopefully you enjoy it and it helps you out. Comment and rate. Typed out on Microsoft word this took up 5 pages and took a few hours so hopefully it fits ok on RE and isn’t past the size limit Thanks again, I will be making more PSP eggs in the future if you guys enjoy this.
Jun 06, 2008 8:38 am - Now I wish I hadn’t sold my PSP...who the hell am I kidding, there’s no way in hell I could do this, regardless that you mapped it out step by step. Cool as hell though, so 5*.
