Your iPod has the capability of becoming a portable hard drive with which you can store extra files

While you can not access these files from your iPod, you can plug your iPod into any computer via USB and access the files you’ve chosen to store

You could use this for:

-Storing school projects
-Freeing up some space on your computers hard drive
-Secret pr0nz hideout

All you need for this simple project is an iPod and a working version of iTunes

First off plug your iPod into any USB drive in your computer

Next, after iTunes loads, click the name of your iPod on the left hand menu bar

Once you are onto your iPod, under the options section click the checkbox that says Enable disk use

Now your iPod can store any type of file you desire as a fully functional portable hard drive. To add and access files simply open up my computer (while your iPod is in the USB port) and find the drive your iPod is in. Do not mess with any of the default files on your iPod.

You can move any file you would like into this and access it from any other computer, while your iPod is in that computer of course.

The only precaution would be not to take up too much of your iPod’s space. You can check how much space is available by going into iTunes under your iPod and finding the bar that looks like this

Thanks and have fun with your new portable hard drive
