Okay, this is my second guide to Night operations.

Location
As stated many times before, in urban terrain, Location is one of the most important things to consider when doing night operations.

I will first start off in a diagram of a suburban area.
As you can see by how close the houses are clumped together, the pranking team must be careful of being spotted and/or heard by neighbors.

Even though suburban areas are a disadvantage, they also are an advantage, such as having more people to prank in a smaller area.

When hiding in a suburban area, you should still stick to trees and other types of obstacles that will hide your silhouette/shape somewhat, as to not get spotted as easy as you would with no cover.
(note- If there is no cover, except cars and shadows made by the duplex/houses, use that. Cars can provide good concealment when needed, you jsut need to squeeze under them.)


Urban Areas
Urban areas are the most dangerous to operate in, as the population density is large and in such a small space.
If you are to attack an urban enviroment, make sure it is an area that has a large amount of alleyways and escape routes availible, such as this area, in the Bronx:
When in a highly populated area such as the Bronx, make sure that it is in a semi-run-down area, or one with many obstacles, as to provide any means of cover necessary so you will not get spotted.
Whenever in an urban area, stay out of the streetlights, as they will be the first means of someone spotting you or your team.

Materials

When trying to prank people in an urban area, the loadouts essentially remain the same as pranking in a rural or a subrural area.

The main materials of urban pranking missions include (with some additions/subtractions),

1. Lighting: Lights still essentially remain the same: you should always carry some type of small torch or light with you to aid in vision.
*If you do have night vision, you might consider bringing it along, but it would jsut slow you/your team down.
2. Clothing: Clothing essentially remains the same, you sohuld wear mostly black, and or another dark color, but you might also want to pack a quick change of regular clothes as to escape easier if being pursued.
3. Utilities: Utilities sometimes remain the same. You should always pack tape, first-aid, multi-tools, glowsticks, stink bombs (for the distactors), Rope (Rope is imprtant. You might/will use it to attach to and climb objects for easier escapes and routes to prank.), dump bags/backpacks (as you might have to leave your supplies behind if trailed for too long, as to ease up the loadouts.) and bungee cords (Bungee cords can be used for multiple roles, eg arming/holding part of the prank or for holding loose pranking materials.
4. Communication: Comm’s usually remain the same. If 2 or more people, radio contact sohuld be frequent at all times.

Positions
Going to positions, if operating in a team, there are two main positions. (As stated in my other guide, there is frequedntly a Forward Observer, or an FO. In urban terrain, most teams should be moving quicker htat ni subrural/rural areas, so the FO is eliminated.)

1. Prankers: The Pranker is the main body of the prank, as it is he or she who actually sets up and pulls the prank.
Prankers always carry a radio, a light source, a multitool of some kind, and the main gear for the pranking in urban areas, which varies on the type of prank pulled.

2. Distractors/Escort: Escort/Distract is the second part of the pranking system. It is their duty to distract an obstacle if the pranking team is spotted/or pursued.
Escort should always accompany the pranking team to and from the objective, and lay down cover ni any way possible, such as teams in the military do.
The Distaction/Escort should always have a radio, a light source, duct tape, a multitool, first-aid, binoculars, and a distraction tool, such as a noise making device. (The Escort/Distract can sometimes function as the FO/base, hence the binoculars and first-aid.)

Operating under the cover of night

Operating under the cover of night in urban/suburban terrain maybe a problem to some.
To make sure you/the team is inconspicuous, wear dark clothes, but wear them light, jsut in case of a pursuit.
Pursuits can happen a lot more in urban terrain then in rural terrian, as urban areas are more densley populated.

-Operating in the night calls for staying under/in cover, such as trees, cars, buildings, derbis, etc.

-Movement in urban areas could be hard, because of so many people. When moving in urban territory, STAY LOW! Too many times a bystander could see a suspicious person and call the police and the prank could fail and end up in a pursuit.

-Camouflage in Urban areas still varies, but keep to darker colors when operating, as to stay hidden.
Teams should always bring a second set of clothes, as to walk away unnoticed in some situations dressed as regular people.

-Planning is the most important part of the operation. Everything must go as planned, or else failure can occur. You/your team msut survey the terrain before hitting it, as to observe its strengths and weaknesses.
You should also hit a house or a complex at least five blocks away from the command/escape point. (It is a long way, but offers more opportunities for escape and extraction.

Everyone must be careful of obstacles and territories. When operating in "Suburbia", you must choose your location carefully. Too liiile cover could result in discovery, and too much cover is practical.

As in this picture, the "NO" hit house and the "YES" hit houses are labeled.
The NO hosue isn’t very good because of not much cover, but the YES house is practical to hit because of the wide routes of escape and hitting the house.
(This is jsut an example, go ahead and hit the NO house if you’d like....)

In urban terrain, utilizing alleyways, stairs and ladders can get you/your team to better and higher places as to avoid getting caught, and to expand your pranks. As for fences, scaling them is easy.
*In urban operations, the possibilities are endless...

Once again, I have never lived in Suburban/urban terrain, so this guide is based on my viewpoints and knowledge of night pranks.

Population density is a measurement of population per unit area or unit volume. It is frequently applied to living organisms, humans in particular.

thats definition off wikipedia you should have just said the population density is high
