Beef Tenderloin Roast
1x oven
1x grill pan
1 1/2x teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2x teaspoon ground black pepper
1x teaspoon finely ground cumin
1x to 1 1/4-pound tenderloin roast
1x teaspoon vegetable oil
first:
Heat your oven to around 250 degrees
next:
Mix your Black pepper, Kosher Salt, and ground Cumin, all in a small dish.
Third:
Cover the roast with the herb mix. Be generous, make your visitors smile. from the wonderfully overpowering taste that they shall receive from your meat. (got a little carried away?)
fourth:
Heat the grill pan on high. after you get your pan hot, baste the roast with your vegetable oil, then sear the roast on all sides, this should only tak a few minutes.
fifth:
Take the roast out of the grill pan and put it on a plate, Wrap the roast in aluminum foil and leave it sitting for about 12 minutes.
sixth:
Put your roast back in the grill pan put it in the oven and cook it until it’s a goldy color, or is about 140 degrees,This may take about 15 minutes.
Finally:
Take it out of the oven and let it stay in the kitchen where no one can see it... they may try to eat it. Let it sit for about 20 or 25 minutes before cutting.
The last step you really wanna follow because the roast will continue to cook after you take it out of the oven, and it will keep it moist.
Hope you enjoyed this egg. and excuse me for the lack of pics.

 | S p 07, 2008 8:11 pm - Oh yea and a grill pan is like a skillet with a grill looking ridges in the bottom. it’s a grill in your oven. But you really could just grill it. especially if you like your meat smoked.

 | Sep 10, 2008 9:57 pm - I would be afraid to cook something at that low of a temperature. Yet I like medium rare steaks. Go figure.5 |

 | Sep 11, 2008 1:22 pm - Gimp that’s not really a low temperature. Pork and beef, can be well done at as low as 170 degrees fahrenheit :-) |

 | Sep 13, 2008 9:55 pm - [note to RE] I found camera, guess it wasn’t lost at college, it twas next to my bed, YAY! [/note to RE] | |
